I am from davangere and my kcet rank is 150385 and my income is 25000 so can I get admission for engineering courses in davangere

With a KCET rank of 1,42,154, getting an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) seat at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (Belagavi) or Global Academy of Technology (Bengaluru) through the General Merit quota is quite difficult.

In recent years, ECE at both colleges has generally closed at much lower ranks, typically ranging from around 20,000 to 70,000, depending on the category and counselling round.

However, your chances may improve if you belong to a reserved category such as SC, ST, or certain OBC categories, as category-specific cutoffs are usually more relaxed. Special reservations or quotas may also work in your favor.

If ECE is your preferred field, it would be wise to keep alternative options open. You may have better chances in core branches such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering at various colleges. You can also explore engineering colleges with higher closing ranks.

Another option is to inquire about management quota admissions directly with the colleges, as these seats often have different eligibility and cutoff requirements.
