Karnataka Common Entrance Test
Hello,
If your KCET result is showing but the rank and QE (Qualifying Exam) marks are not showing, here are a few simple steps you can try:
Check if you uploaded your 2nd PUC/12th marks – KEA requires your board exam marks to calculate rank. If not uploaded, the rank won’t be shown.
Log in to KEA portal and see if there is any alert or message asking you to upload marks or documents.
If already uploaded and still not showing, then wait for a day – sometimes it takes time to update on the portal.
If problem continues, contact KEA helpline or visit the nearest help centre for quick help.
Hope it helps !
Hello Roopa,
With a KCET rank of 9670, you have a good chance of securing admission in several reputed engineering colleges in Karnataka. You can expect seats in well-known government and private colleges for popular branches like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
Some colleges you may consider at this rank include:
Government Engineering Colleges such as:
University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore
P.E.S. Institute of Technology, Bangalore South Campus
University College of Engineering, Tumkur
Private colleges with good reputation, like:
RV College of Engineering (RVCE) – chances depend on category and cutoff
BMS College of Engineering – may be possible in some branches
RNS Institute of Technology
MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology
The exact college and branch depend on the category you belong to, your preferred branch, and availability of seats in the counselling rounds. It is important to participate in all rounds of counselling and fill your choices carefully to maximize your chances.

Hello Trisha,
With a KCET rank of 645 in Veterinary Science (Practical), you have a strong chance of getting admission in good veterinary colleges in Karnataka, likely in the first or second round of counselling.
However, with a rank of 16,964 in Veterinary Science (Theory), it will be difficult to get admission in the initial rounds. Admission might be possible in later rounds if seats remain vacant.
To increase your chances, participate in all counselling rounds, be flexible with your college and course choices, and keep track of all official announcements regarding counselling and seat allotment.
Hello Renuka,
The KCET B.Sc. Nursing cutoff varies each year based on factors like the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and seat availability. For example, in recent years, top nursing colleges had closing ranks in the range of 40,000 to 1,00,000 for the General Merit category.
For 2025, the expected cutoff for the General category is around the 50th percentile, while for reserved categories like OBC, EWS, SC, and ST, the expected cutoffs are approximately at the 45th, 48th, 42nd, and 40th percentiles respectively.
To check your eligibility:
Identify your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.) since cutoffs differ accordingly.
Compare your KCET rank with previous years’ closing ranks of colleges you are interested in.
Participate in all counseling rounds to improve your chances of admission.

Hello Pallavi,
With a KCET rank of around 1,700, you have a good chance of getting admission to engineering colleges in Bangalore, especially in government and some private colleges. Popular government colleges may have cutoff ranks close to or below this rank for certain branches.
To improve your chances:
Apply to multiple colleges and branches.
Participate in all counseling rounds.
Consider private colleges if government options are limited.
Your exact options depend on your preferred engineering branch and category.
Hello Mamata,
With a KCET rank of 7211 in Computer Science, admission to top government engineering colleges in Karnataka is unlikely, as the cutoff ranks for Computer Science are generally much lower (better ranks).
However, you may get admission in private or deemed universities that offer Computer Science programs. Some private colleges in Karnataka accept ranks in this range.
To improve your chances, participate in all counseling rounds and consider other related branches or private institutions.
