No, your merit rank depends only on MET score. There is no weightage for class 12 marks but you must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject. And you must have scored minimum 50% marks taken together in Mathematics, Physics

You need to score the minimum cut off rank to have decent chances of getting in Manipal University in any of its campuses. Cut off is branch specific, each branch has different cut off. You need to secure a rank within 25,000 to have decent chances of getting seat.
