Odisha Joint Entrance Examination
Yes, with 1324 rank in OBC, you have a good chance for B.Pharm at Utkal University since pharmacy seats are usually available up to higher ranks too. Cutoffs vary every year, but your rank is decent enough to expect a seat in Utkal or its affiliated colleges. Keep Utkal University as your first choice in counselling.
Best wishes!

Hello,
Yes, you can apply for an education loan after qualifying OJEE and taking admission in Viswass College of Nursing . Once you get your admission letter and fee structure, you can approach banks for a study loan.
Most banks provide loans for recognised nursing courses. Up to Rs. 4 lakh loan may be given without collateral, but higher amounts may need a guarantor or security. You can also apply under Odisha government schemes like Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana if your family income is within the limit.
So, after securing admission, you can easily apply for a study loan with the required documents.
Hope it helps !

First you have to register for counselling on the official portal , upload your documents like mark sheets, category certificates, and the Special OJEE rank card , then, you will be asked to fill your choice of colleges and courses.
Make sure your internet connection is good while applying online. Also, keep checking your email and SMS regularly for counselling updates. Don’t miss any deadline because if you do, your seat might be cancelled.

Hello Aspirant,
If you have received a seat from OJEE B. Tech Counselling Round 2 and you are willing to continue to Round 3 (also referred to as the last/spot round), you have to pay the seat acceptance fee to keep your allotted allotment and get considered for upgradation. If you do not pay the fee, you will cancel your allotted seat and will not get considered to participate in further rounds. So the answer is yes, you need to pay to carry through with upgradation in Round 3.
If you're going for the Special OJEE round and you're from the SC category , a safe rank for getting into a government engineering college would be anything around 1.6 to 1.75 lakh or better . Honestly, even a bit higher than that might still get you a seat—especially in branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical , since they usually have seats left in the special round.
These rounds mostly fill up leftover seats, so if you’re okay with slightly less popular branches, your chances are definitely there. Just make sure to lock your choices smartly and don’t wait till the last minute.
Hi,
With a rank of 5.3 lakh in JEE Mains, getting a mechanical seat in PMEC Berhampur through normal OJEE counselling is very difficult, especially if you're an out-of-state candidate. OJEE mostly reserves seats for Odisha state students in the earlier rounds, and only a few institutional spot rounds might consider others.
However, if the college has vacant seats in September’s spot/institutional round, and they allow direct admission based on vacant quota, there’s a chance you could be considered. The issue is many Odisha colleges do not allow out-of-state students unless stated clearly by OJEE.

You can also consider other private colleges in nearby states that may accept your score.
Since you've been allotted Electrical Engineering at IGIT Sarang (4th choice) and your top 3 preferences are at VSSUT Burla which is a more reputed institute with better academics and placements it's wise to choose "Float" and try for a higher option in the next 2 OJEE rounds. If your rank is close to the previous cutoffs of your preferred branches at VSSUT, your chances are decent.
Also, if you're eligible for CSAB counselling (through JEE Main) and interested in getting into NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, you should participate. It provides another good opportunity, especially if your JEE rank is within range of those institutes' cutoffs.
Hey, the Special OJEE card is being admitted for July 2025 which can also have the same date for the admit card from May 2 to May 11, 2025. The Special OJEE is for the students who have missed the first round or want another chance from July 15–16, 2025.
Admit Card Release - Last week of June 2025
Exam Dates - July 15–16, 2025
With ST rank 25,678 and CRL 9,33,567 in JEE Mains 2025 , your chances in JoSAA are very low, especially for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, even in lower branches. That’s why you haven’t got any seat till Round 3.
Here’s what you can do now:
1. JoSAA Remaining Rounds: There is a very small chance, but not guaranteed. You may still wait till Round 5 and 6, but don’t fully depend on it.
2. CSAB Counselling: Yes, you should definitely go for CSAB . Sometimes seats remain vacant after JoSAA, and you may get a chance in lower branches or less popular GFTIs/NITs. CSAB is your best chance now.
3. OJEE Counselling: This is also a good backup option. Since you're focusing on government colleges, keep following OJEE rounds actively.
