Yes .upsc preparation help you in some points  like current affairs , maths , english and reasoning but you need atleast 6 months clear your topics and one thing don't fully depends on upsc syllabus take special class for tissnetand  also Try some mock test series and previous year paper while doing practice take care of time management and small tricks which help to consume less time

I want to inform you that TISS doesn't take any separate exam for Development studies other than TISSNET,

You can get admission in TISS through cracking TISSNET .

eligibility criteria

Candidate must be graduate or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) in any stream from a recognized university/ college.
Final year appearing candidates can also apply on provisional basis.
