    The reason behind this, is they dont consider any caste reservation there as the admissions are completely based on merit.

    Sorry to dishearten you. Not possible if you want good branch. The closing rank even for category is given on the basis of GMR/PMR that is General Merit Rank.So suppose you are a general candidate, to get CSE in Jadavpur University the closing rank was (GMR rank 153) in 2017.
