Hello Suraj, The hostel fee is dependent on what type of room you are choosing. Generally, the fee is around 90,000 per year(2017 data). But, if you are thinking about living in a 2-bedroom then the cost will go high. The fee also depends on whether you chose the room with attached bathroom in it or you chose a room with a shared bathroom with others.

First please note that there is no difference between these degrees in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have smilar scope and future and on the same time ME and M.Tech have same scope future.

Now let’s dig the question little deep. If BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech have same value and scope why the names are different.

Right after independence of India we have two types of universities, one that offers degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts, Education and Engineering too, and the second set of universities (were named as institutes) offer only degrees in engineering. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology).

Now as AICTE approve courses most of the courses are same and identical for BE and B.Tech. The universities those offering BE when started new courses named them to B.Tech too.

No degree, BE or B.Tech and ME or M.Tech is superior other others in terms of theory or experiment. BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech are same. Both of them are same and have similar scope and future. If there is some notification for BE, B.Tech’s are also eligible to apply and vise versa.

CSE has had a very good placement scenario in the recent years, the maximum package Is 24 lakhs per annum  with an average of 4 lakhs per annum. However, for PESIT South campus, the average student gets 2 lakhs per annum, since PESU graduates get higher priority over PESIT graduates

I think that International School of Management may have a little bit of better edge in management education as compared to NSHM Durgapur. Although the placements are quite similar yet the former institute provides better facilities in terms of faculty and infrastructure.

M.Sc(Info.Tech) come under the First Degree programmes offered by BITS Pilani Hyderabad which also include B.E,B.Pharm,M.Sc(hons). Admission for Integrated First Degree programmes is purely based on the score obtained in BITSAT. M.Sc Info Tech is a 5 year integrated programme where you'll study both Science and engineering but your final degree will be on Science.

Yes PESIT accepts admissions through comedk. You can get admission in this college based on comedk rank.

But for your son it would be pretty difficult to get into this college if you are in General Merit.

If you are from minority ( according to comedk) you can get any branch.

But with this rank you son only has a chance of getting Mechanical here that also not surely.

Yes mobile phones, laptops and Wi-Fi connections are available in pes college ( either South campus or main campus) and even in pes university. It is not tolerated using the above gadgets during the class hours except for presentation or seminars.
