They both have almost the same ranking, and they both are decent colleges so no problems there, but you should try for even better colleges. From my knowledge, PESCE is the older institute and better recognised, so you should go for that, given the choice. PES is autonomous, so the general quality of the college is also nice. You can get Computer Science And Engineering  till 54,000 at Srm University, Ghaziabad NCR campus. It is not that good when compared with Chennai campus and even Ramapuram Campus. The hostel fee is also too expensive. It is not that good. The hostel fee is around 1.5 lakhs per year. The top companies that visit this university are:Jonhson controls, Amazon, Hitachi Consulting, Unisys, SAP labs, cisco, temenos, Infosys, Wipro, CTS, TCS, NSE, 2adpro, Honeywell, E and Y, Sahaj software, Chalk street, System insight, Nation star, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley.

i recommend your son to join in Sreenidhi than SRM ramapuram campus. If it is SRM Chennai campus then it is better but not Ramapuram campus. The other campus of SRM than chennai are not that good. They are not best in terms of all aspects. Instead of wasting money I recommend you to join in Sreenidhi Institute Of science and technology. The SNIST is rated as AAA+ by Careers360 in terms of faculty, facilities and placement. The tution fee is around 1.30 lakhs per year( as per new tution fee) . The hostel facility is provided to both boys and girls. The hostel fee is around 92,000/- per year. The environment is good at SNIST. The faculty are best and supportive. The academics are good at SNIST. The top companies that visit this college are: TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Amazon, Infotech, Accenture, etc. the highest pay package is around 14 lakhs per annum. Although Birla institute of technology, Patna costs the same as pesit. Pes institute of technology enjoys the privilege of being a highly ranked institute in the heart of Bangalore which is also the IT hub of India.
