They have a decent overall rating. Placements are decent but they have highly inconsistent placement record, average placement record is around 50%. Highest package offered is 14Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 2Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 3.5Lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, IBM, etc. They have good infrastructure and they have good, friendly teaching faculties. They don't encourage much cultural activities. You can enjoy the campus life to an extent. Food is of average quality.

,I will say Hostel life at IIEST Shibpur is too good. I will suggest you opt for the hostel. Be a boarder of IIEST hostel and feel the mesmeric magic of IIEST campus. The hostel life will give you an enormous and vast field to enjoy, have fun and learn.

You all know that we all spend a considerable amount of our college life in the hostel. So it will have a huge impact on your lifestyle at the end of the “college days”. Hostel life is going to give you the idea and strength to tackle the real life-challenging problems. By life challenging problems, I DO NOT mean any kind of ragging or politics in the campus. The IIEST campus is completely free from ragging and politics. The IIEST Shibpur is so well famous for its “greenery” campus and if you are not a hostelite then you are going to miss something very very important. You make friends, you live a life not just because you join a college but because you join the hostel too.

Some other fun facts: There is no any time restriction for boys of the hostel or hall to roam inside the campus. Sadly, Girls have to report to their hostel by 11 pm (for their own safety). Time limit to go out of the campus i.e. out from the main gates of college is 10 pm for everyone. There is no time limit for entering the campus.

Civil engineering is a good course. After completing this course someone can get a job in the field of construction. The course takes four years to be completed. There are eight semesters in these four years. Students have to read 6-8 subjects in each semester.

Placement and job opportunity is not so good in the engineering courses. However the placement in management courses like BBA, BCA, BHM, BHMCT is very good. The college administration does not make arrangement for internship, one has to find it by oneself. Instead the college administration make arrangements for a 15 days or 1 month training session.

Alumni association and netw of the college is good. Many alumnus come to the College on the days of cultural festival. The seniors are very helpful, they always help the juniors in each and every way they can do.

Well, in VNIT Nagpur there were total 41 No. of Students job offered in 2019-20, and definitely VNIT Nagpur is way better than IIIT kancheepuram in overall terms. And the placements of IIITDM kancheepuram is that total of 17 students got placed in total in 2019-20 and overall 54 companies visited in IIIT Kancheepuram which is very low...

In Last, I would suggest:

• If you have decided ECE is your enormous area of interest then you must go there without a second thought and
• If you are yet to discover then VNIT Nagpur is a better platform to explore...
