In general the CASTE certificate is validfor 3 preceding financial years like if your certificate is issued in the year 2018 then your certificate will be valid till 2021.

Original certificates should be with you. The submission should be of photocopies. But for verification, you have to show the original one. The documents are valid only when submitted with original documents. But you can take the original documents after verification by the authorities.
