According to last year trend your ews rank will be around 14k. This is quite low for NITs. Hope it helps

Well if you do qualify the criteria of both the states states then you sit for state quota counseling in both the states. Many students do this where when they are satisfying the criteria of both states, they attend the counseling to get a government seat.

Alankrita, it is not clear whether you mentioned it wrong or the details were printed wrong in the admit card. For the 1st one, you had a correction window and for the 2nd one, you should have reached out to NTA's helpdesk because NTA did mention that any discrepancy in terms of details in the admit card need to be intimated to NTA before hand. Now we are not sure what the case might be here but you should immediately write to NTA. You cannot have a wrong name in your application form. That is the basic process for your candidature. Lets say if you appear for JEE April session and write your name correct, now your application might stand cancelled atleast for one for the mismatch in name. Your name is the basic detail and you cannot get that wrong.
IMU has not released any information regarding the counselling process yet. And the registration process also hasn't started yet. And there is no official announcement regarding the new date for registration and locking of the choices. So at this point in time, you have to watch out for any official announcement regarding this. Likith, ideally NBE doesnt make any corrections to your application form once the correction window closes. So if you belong to General Category but selected OBC and did not rectify it during the correction window, the application will show that you belong to OBC Category and you are supposed to submit the OBC related documents during Document verification. Failing to do so, will not allow you to be considered under General Category but truth be told, your admission stands cancelled.
Well sitting for two categories of counseling might not be possible. If you are are non residential I dian then you are eligible for that category and hence you need to sit for that counseling and not for counseling that is organised for indian residing indians.
