What efforts are required to get an AIR-1 in CLAT 2019? What should be the perfect strategy and plan to execute to achieve this rank?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 23rd Nov, 2018

Hey.

Make sure you're spending enough time for CLAT preparation regularly.

For GK - For static you can refer to the Concised size Pearson or the Arihant’s guide.

For current affairs, first of all develop a habit to read newspapers daily. The Hindu is the newspaper preferred by various CLAT Aspirants.

There is a site called GK today.in which you can go to for current affairs. They have daily quizes based on current affairs which has been proved very usefull for CLAT preparation. Current affairs create a lot of edge in your score.

English - For Vocabulary you can refer the Word Power Made Easy. You will come across various words while reading the newspaper too, prepare a list, go through them regularly and try to use them in sentences. You should read the Editorial section of the Hindu for your Reading as well as Vocabulary section of CLAT.

For grammar you can use the Wren & Martin.

Mathematics - For Quantitative aptitude by RS Aggarwal. Other than that previous year question papers and Arihant/ Universal guide migh help too.

Legal Aptitude - Universal’s guide to CLAT and LLB, Pearson CLAT Guide are considered the best

Logical Reasoning - RS Aggarwal

Make sure that you go through the past year question papers and practice them along with sample papers.

As you are planning to take any coaching in institutes like Career launcher, Bulls eye etc then their reading material covers all aspects. You can refer the books listed above in case you need separate books for any or all the sections. Other than that spend extra effort from the sources mentioned above in GK, Current affairs section

Best of luck!

I am studying in 12th, my pre boards will be be coming soon, should I prepare for clat during or after my pre boards.

Neha Jain 23rd Nov, 2018

Hi there.

CLAT is a very competitive examination. It would be best to prepare during your boards examination. Try to make a proper study schedule in which you can handle both preparation of Boards and  CLAT together, hand in hand.

Develop a habit of reading the newspaper THE HINDU daily. It would be best to read the Yojana magazines regularly. Other than that, all you need for the preparation of CLAT is one book which Universal SS guide for LLB and CLAT examinations.

It has more than 11000 questions with numerous solved examples. It covers every nook and corner of the syllabus and has previous years papers of various law entrance exams including CLAT. It has lots of mock test papers too.

All the best!

Hello,

If you have qualified class 12th in the year 2018 or before then you should select the Code-2 or you should select the Code-3 if you have passed 12th from your respective state board otherwise you should select the Code-4.

You can check your code accordingly in the link given below (section- "NEET Qualifying Examination Code")

Mayank Kukreti 22nd Nov, 2018

hii sushant

As cut-off marks vary state to state and year to year depending upon number of students appear in the exam and the difficulty level of the exam so if you belong to general and if you are applying under 85% state quota seats then to be on safer side you should score above 520 marks to secure a seat in government medical colleges and if you are applying under 15% all india quota seats then you should score above 560 marks to secure a seat in government medical colleges while for AIIMS you need to score above 150 marks.i hope this information helps you.

thank you
