I think 1 year is sufficient time for preparing for gate exam. So if you wishes to join any coaching class than you can do that. And make a schedule and study accordingly. Focus on the weaker section and topics and prepare very well.

It doesn't matter whether you are hardworking or not. If your concepts and basics are clear then definitely you can able to fetch 250+ marks in JEE mains. Since you have sufficient amount of time remaining so within this remaining amount of time try to finish your syllabus
