the applicants must have passed class 12 and pursuing courses in Natural Sciences at the B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. level for being eligible for the scholarship.
Also,The candidate must be among the top 1% of the successful students in terms of aggregate marks in his/her class 12 board exam.

Dear Ameya,
The eligibilty criteria for admission to Biomedical/Biotechnology Engineering is that you must have cleared 12th HSC with PCB or PCM group with an aggregate of 50%. Along with this, the criteria to get into colleges may vary from college to college. For eg.,In DY Patil University, you must qualify in any state/national level entrance exam. If not given the exams, you have to appear for their own entrance exam. Some colleges conduct their own Entrance Test for admission to the course.

While color blind people can complete the UG course for any branch except mining (where they do not even accept such people), it is not advisable to do so in some branches like Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, etc.Computer Science and IT should be fine.
I do not advise doing graduation in above branches in such scenarios because you would not be eligible for jobs due to physical fitness reasons. As color-blindness cannot be fixed , there is no way to be employed in relevant industry as you would be a safety concern.
While I cannot comment on some other branches like Civil, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, would advise you to get in touch with people with relevant information.
