I believe that there is no need for you to do 12th again .
Eligibility requirement for NEET examination for unreserved category is 50% marks in 12th standard.
For SC/ST/OBC only 45 percentage is the requirement.

If your friend with lesser marks is allotted college and you are not. It means you both will have filled different choices. If you have filled correct choices then you will be for sure getting a college by now.
