The average package is approx 6-10 Lakhs annually for Mining Engineering. The placement records are good.The packages of IIT is not revealed easily and publically open so this is an approx update for the package.

Jadavpur University
Both have good placement but in case of infrastructure and facility LPU is better than any other University. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements
