In my opinion, IIIT Bangalore is much better than the NIT, Trichy Metallurgy branch.

First, you need to understand that in IIIT Bangalore, there is no course for single B.Tech, you have to opt a 5-year integrated course i.e. B.tech + M.tech. 4-year B.tech + 1-year M.tech.

NIT Trichy is definitely a good college when it comes to engineering colleges.It's atmosphere, peers, competition is above all.When it comes to placements in NIT Trichy, they are good for all branches provided you are a good and hard working student.
