You will be definetly called by PSU's if you apply for different psu. There is good chances you will get psu, in psu interview normally 70% marks given based on gate score only 30% based on personal interviews.Prepare for interview and apply for different psu...Best of luck..

If you are able to justify your gap then it won't be a problem. Just focus on your GATE if you do well in that then this gap will not cause much problem.
