Why do I have multiple ranks in clat result Can get admission if my rank is 29789 in ai and 299 in bc tamilnadu list?

Deepti Singh 9th Dec, 2024

Hello,

In CLAT, candidates get multiple ranks: All India Rank (AIR) for overall performance and Category Rank (CR) based on reservation categories like BC (Tamil Nadu). With an AIR of 29,789, admission to top NLUs might be challenging due to higher cutoffs. However, your BC Tamil Nadu rank of 299 enhances your chances under the state or category quota.

College Predictor Tool:

Use online CLAT college predictor tools to estimate your admission chances. These tools analyze your ranks, category, and preferences to suggest likely NLUs or other law colleges. For example, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University or reserved seats in mid-tier NLUs might be accessible with your BC rank.

Next Steps:

  • Check state-specific quotas and NLU cutoffs.
  • Participate in all counseling rounds, as cutoff ranks may fluctuate.
  • Explore private and state law colleges as backups to secure a good institution.

Hello my name is srushti my doubt is when will we get notification tht we r selected for clat counseling on the day of result or on dec 11 th

Prachi Kumari 9th Dec, 2024

Hello Srushti !

The notification regarding selection for CLAT counseling is typically not released on the same day as the result announcement. Instead, the results are published first, and the consortium opens the counseling registration process a few days later.

For CLAT 2024, the results are expected on December 11, 2023 . Following this, candidates will receive an invitation for counseling if they meet the required cutoff for the participating NLUs. These invitations are usually sent shortly after the results—either the same day or within a couple of days.

Keep an eye on the official CLAT website and your registered email/phone for updates. Ensure you register for counseling as soon as the portal opens to secure your spot in the seat allocation process.

Good luck!

The INI CET Jan 25 result has some issues. Some Lower percentile candidates have higher ranks. Is it possible. For example Rank 171 has percentile 96.919 whereas rank 321 has percentile 99.450. Lot of more examples are there if you analyse the result.

kumardurgesh1802 30th Nov, 2024

Hello Munish,

Yes, it's possible to see discrepancies where lower percentile candidates have higher ranks in exams like INI CET, though it may seem unusual at first. Here’s why this might happen:

  1. Tie-Breaker Mechanism: When multiple candidates have the same percentile or score, the rank is often determined by tie-breaking rules. These rules can involve factors like age, marks in individual sections, or even the candidate's performance in specific subjects. As a result, candidates with the same percentile might have different ranks due to these secondary factors.

  2. Category-Based Rankings: INI CET ranks can differ based on the candidate's category (General, OBC, SC, etc.). For example, a candidate in the SC or OBC category might have a higher rank than someone in the General category, even if their percentile is lower. The percentile for category-based reservations might differ as well.

  3. Percentile vs. Rank: A percentile indicates how a candidate performed relative to others, but rank depends on the number of candidates in each percentile band. Some percentile ranges could have fewer candidates, leading to a higher rank for those with slightly lower percentiles.

If you're analyzing results and see such discrepancies, it's likely due to these mechanisms. If you believe there is a mistake, it's a good idea to contact the examination authorities for clarification or review.

I did my 12th [bio stream] {CBSE BOARD} after taking drop I did maths from up board as a private candidate. How should i fill form of neet or jee exam... i mean to ask what should i fill? And by thinking such complicated process now I want leave maths 12th exam so does it will affect my prev. result?

Prachi Kumari 20th Nov, 2024

Hello Kavya,

Here is an overview of your problem, and its solution :-

  1. Filling NEET Form

    • Eligibility : NEET requires you to have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology from a recognized board. Your CBSE 12th result is sufficient.
    • Details to Fill : Use your CBSE 12th details for NEET application. Do not mention your UP Board private attempt at math if you're dropping it.
  2. Filling JEE Form

    • Eligibility : JEE requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th. If you're dropping the UP Board Math exam, you won't meet this criterion, and applying for JEE won't be valid.
  3. Impact of Dropping UP Board Math

    • It won't affect your CBSE 12th result or eligibility for NEET because they're independent. Dropping the math exam simply means you won't qualify for math-related entrances like JEE.
  4. Simplify Your Decision

    • Focus on NEET if you're inclined towards medicine or biology-related fields.
    • Avoid confusion by leaving the UP Board math attempt officially incomplete; it won't interfere with your CBSE credentials.

Conclusion : Drop the math attempt without worry and focus on NEET preparation using your CBSE bio stream qualifications.

Can I get selected in mbbs college counselling after passing the neet exam but my 12th result was by mpsos (Ruk Jana nahi Yojana ) its gonna be a problem by any chance?

Samprikta Mondal 10th Nov, 2024

Yes, certainly, you can get admission in MBBS college after passing the NEET exam even after you have done your 12th class through the MP SOS or Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana scheme.

Mostly, eligibility criteria depend upon your NEET performance and your 12th class studies in major subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Provided you have passed 12th class from any recognized board even MP SOS and fulfill eligibility criteria of NEET, you may get yourself registered for MBBS admissions.

These are some key considerations to keep in mind:

A good NEET score is highly essential to get a seat in a good medical college.

State Quota Seats: If you are from the State of Madhya Pradesh, you can be eligible for state quota seats in government medical colleges.

All India Quota Seats: The seats will be filled based upon your NEET All India Rank.

You might even be requested to provide your 12th mark sheet and more documents during the admission procedure.

So, to ensure that the entire admission procedure is smooth and free from problems, keep your document ready for verification:

Prepare your documents in full. This may include 12th mark sheet, NEET admit card, and scorecard.

Consult a Career Counsellor: Seek a career counselor to take you through all the admission processes and valuable advice.

Update Yourself: Keep yourself updated with the latest information regarding admission process, cut-offs and counselling rounds.

By adhering to these guidelines and getting a good NEET score, one can get himself a seat in a good medical college.

What if i wrote met(manipal entrance test)and i am waiting for 4sem backlog result will they give admission for mca,and i will be waiting for 6sem result ,will approve my problem

kumardurgesh1802 18th Oct, 2024

Hello Girish,

If you have written the MET (Manipal Entrance Test) for MCA admission and are currently awaiting your 4th-semester backlog result, most universities, including Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), offer provisional admission to students in such situations. This means that you may be granted admission based on your MET score. However, it is important to clear your backlog and submit all necessary academic documents within the given timeframe before your admission can be confirmed.

Universities usually require that all previous degree courses be fully cleared before starting a postgraduate program like MCA. In your case, if you're also waiting for your 6th-semester result, ensure that all requirements are completed as soon as possible. MAHE may provide time for document submission, but backlogs must be resolved before the deadline for final admission confirmation.

To ensure a smooth process, it's a good idea to reach out to the admissions office at MAHE. Explain your situation regarding the pending results, and seek guidance on their specific policy for provisional admissions and backlog clearance. This will give you clarity on what steps you need to take to secure your MCA seat without issues.

I had writte pgcet exam for electrical science. I check the my id, booklet and omr id, booklet version, and all other details in my carbon copy. Its exactly the same. But still my result is not declared. I can view other peoples results but mine is missing. Please help

Kanishka kaushikii 30th Sep, 2024

Hello aspirant,

There could be several reasons why your PGCET result hasn't been declared yet:

  1. Technical Issues: Sometimes, technical glitches or system errors can delay the release of results.
  2. Verification Process: The authorities might be conducting a thorough verification process of answer sheets to ensure accuracy and fairness.
  3. Late Submission of Data: If there was a delay in submitting your OMR or other necessary documents, it could affect the result declaration.
  4. Individual Cases: In rare cases, there might be specific issues or discrepancies related to your application or examination that require further investigation.

What to Do:

  1. Check Official Channels: Keep an eye on the official PGCET website and any related announcements for updates on result declaration.
  2. Contact the Authorities: If you've waited for a reasonable amount of time and still haven't received your result, contact the PGCET authorities directly. They can provide you with specific information about the status of your result and any necessary steps to take.
  3. Provide Required Documents: If requested, be prepared to submit any additional documents or information that might be needed for verification.

I hope this information is useful to you.
