Hello Apoorva
Some of the PSU companies which hire from MTech Bio-Technology are
PSU companies do recruite Bio Technology students, but hardly the GATE Qualified ones. Government hardly releases the funds required for research in any fields especially in the ones like Biotechnology where the result in unpredictable. So PSUs recruite less no of employess leading to rejection of GATE Qualified students.
Hope it helps you.
Hello dear student,
The number of marks that you have obtained in gate out of 100 multiplying the score into 10 for conversion.
As for example you have scored 70 marks in gate then multiply it with 10 which is 70*10 making it 700 hence your marks are converted out of 1000.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes
Hello,
Although both are national level, NET/JRF is obviously the better option for a MSc student. The reason is that once you qualify NET/JRF, you will get stipend for doing PhD wherever you do it in India, means the institute may be a central institute, a central university, a private university or a state university.
But after qualifying GATE, you will get the stipend for PhD only if you do PhD at a central institute.
So, the scope is more for qualifying NET/JRF.
Also, some institutes (eg. NISER) prefer to take NET/JRF qualified students over GATE qualified students, since the stipend for the former is offered by central agencies like UGC and CSIR directly, while the later is offered by the institute itself.
All the best.
Thankyou, I hope it helps, feel free to approach for further queries
