during periodic test my scores are getting weaker n weaker Im( jee aspirant) now its like a big challenge for me to score above 100:(

Shubham Kumar Gupta 2nd Sep, 2019

Hello Monika, Greetings!

First of all don't get demotivated. There is still a while for JEE Main. So, I would suggest you to focus on basics. Also practice a lot of previous year papers or rather I would suggest you to by heart them.

If you are finding it really difficult then start from NCERT and make your base strong.

Also, keep yourself socially active. This will actually help you a lot.

Also, never forget than IITs/NITs is not end of life and there many still great opportunities left in your life.

Thank you, best of luck.

if Im weak with physics Im learning n grabbing concepts so i got good marks in physics but this time i got low in maths /jee aspirant/??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019

Hello there!

Greetings!

Maths is all about understanding concepts and then applying them. So first of all you need to understand formulas and their application;  for that you need to first go through all the solved examples , it will help you to understand, the approach for solving questions and then go for solving excercise questions. If you are from cbse board, then first complete ncert , ncert is the key to score good marks in board exam.

Thankyou

hello, i am in general category... would 550 marks in NEET2020 would be enough to take admission in government colleges?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Hrithik, for being eligible for NEET, you should have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category. Now to be qualified in NEET, you should score 50 percentile of top NEET score if you belong to General Category. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of candidates appearing for NEET, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Let me give you an example. In 2019, the general NEET cut offs increased by 15 marks but in Tamilnadu, the cut offs went as high as 70-100 marks. UP had a cut off of 469 for General Category in State Quota and 429 for OBC under State Quota in 2018. However, in 2019, even 550 marks couldnt get a MBBS seat even in a Private Medical College. Having said that what acts in your favour is almost 75 new Medical Colleges will come up in 2020 increasing the medical seats atleast by 90,000. So if you can score atleast 550-600, you can get a GMC in State Counselling. But if you are planning for a seat in a State that you do not have a domicile of, you should aim for nothing less than 650.

Dear sir, I have 465.5 marks in 10th but in cat form there are not any entry after decimal, what can I write?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Rahul, CAT Interface allows you to enter marks in nnn.nn format. After typing in the first 3 digits, if you place a decimal and try to enter the remaining digits, it will not allow you. To avoid the mistake, do not enter the decimal. Rather try typing 46550. The interface will automatically capture the decimal.
