my NTA score is 41.1in JEEMain 2022 , can i apply for Jee advance

thakurvishesh1 12th Aug, 2022

If you are a general category candidate, then unfortunately you won't qualify the Joint Entrance Examination Main, which is a prerequisite to appear for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced or JEE Advanced. The cut-off for JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced in the previous years were:

2021: 87.8992241
2020: 90.3765335
2019: 90.3765335

So, better luck next time.

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

Me as a girl from Maharashtra under EWS having score of91.23 percentile andmy general ewsnum.is 11420.CRL RANK IS78865.Which nit can I get

Anurag Khanna 8th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

On such EWS rank you have almost no chances to get any of the NITs or IIITs because the closing EWS ranks for last year was around 7-8k for female. You can get an idea from previous year's closing ranks available on the official website :-

https://josaa.admissions.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx

But you can go for some GFTIs that are discussed below.

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-

Assam University, Silchar - Agricultural Engineering

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar - Mechanical Engineering

Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, Bhadohi - Carpet and Textile Technology

Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, (C.G.) - Industrial and Production Engineering

And some more.......

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2022 result :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so now you can check whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2022 or not, JEE-Main 2022 qualifying cut-offs are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) -  88.4121383 percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 63.1114141 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 67.0090297  Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 43.0820954 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 26.7771328 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0031029 Percentile

Can i score good in jee advanced if I havent studied anything till now and got select from mains by luck only?

Nisha yadav 8th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Just don't think negatively at all you did well till now and you can achieve many more in life. If you say it by luck also then to you studied a lot that's why you Mains went well. For Advanced just give your 100% learn everything you can and do your best rest else will be good. You can go below the following and prepare for the exam:

  • Prepare a well-laid Plan. Draft a daily schedule.
  • Get hold of the syllabus.
  • Time management is a must.
  • Understand basic concepts.
  • Choose the right study material.
  • Solve JEE Advanced question papers.
  • Prepare your methods of learning
  • FAQ preparation
  • Keep a constant pace of learning
  • Don't lose your patience
  • Bon Appetite, stick to your proper health and diet.
  • Do not attempt anything new in exam that you didn't prepare for.

Thank you

my score is 128 July 26th 1st shift in jee.mains what is my expected percentile and rank

KUNAL KUMAR 7th Aug, 2022

Dear Chinnu,

Hello,

On this, your percentile must be between 98- 98.5 and your general rank between 20164 - 16084. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

You can check some of the cutoffs of the colleges in the list below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

But in my opinion, you should wait for the counseling.

But as you know the cutoff changes every year because it depends upon the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the paper, and the number of candidates writing the examination hence varies every year depending on these factors. It also depends on your home state and another state as you have not mentioned your home state. You can check out your rank based on your score from the below link.
