how much marks should i score to get 80 percentile in jee mains 2022 to qualify for jee advance exam (obc) ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Jul, 2022

Hi

It's quite difficult to make prediction as marks vs percentile vs rank keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like

  • kind of marks obtained by them ,

As per past year trends,

i wasted my 11th and now wasted half of my 12th as classes were online and all. so now iam determined to crack neet (2023) with good score. can anyone plz suggest me way to study 11th (as my basics are really weak) as well as 12th?

Tanya Gupta 20th Jul, 2022

Hey student,

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

If you want to recover your course and want to clear your basics then you should atleast study 1 hour a day ( just for clearing the basics) it'll help you alot and till the end of class 12th you'll be able to clear all your back syllabus by this technique and also be able to score good marks.

All the best student,

Hope this helps you.

My jee mains score is 91.22percentile and boards score is 92.1percentage will I be able to get CSE or IT branch in Sastra main campus.

Sevit Kar 12th Jul, 2022

Hello,

Sastra University takes admission on the basis of merit list prepared by the authorities on the basis of jee mains scores and the 12th scores .

It takes admission on the basis of 70% jee mains scores and 30% weightage is given to 12th scores .

So, you jee mains score is decent and your 12th score is good so let me tell you that you do have chances to get cse but at the worst case scenario you will get IT branch. Nevertheless if you in IT or CSE you will be able to apply for all the companies at the time of placements.

sir i got 54.75 score in jee mains is there any chance to get a college

Anurag Khanna 12th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

As per your percentile in JEE-Main 2022,

>>>>> your CRL rank is expected around 462908 - 520375 .

Now on such CRL rank you can have chances in following colleges based on your JEE-Main rank :-

  • D.K.T.E. Society's Textile and Engineering Institute, Kolhapur
  • Rajeev Gandhi Prodyogiki Mahavidhyalaya, Bhopal
  • Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Indore
  • Kashi Institute of Technology, Varanasi
  • Aditya college of Technology and Science, Satna

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main rank/score you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Based o n such percentile, if you are a General candidate you have almost no chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.

You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

hello, i have opted for pu ba llb entrance test. I will score 90+ in +2 cbse boards. but since I was a PCM student, i am not prepared for the entrance test and i guess Ill score 50 marks. are there any chances of getting admission in ba llb or no?

Med 12th Jul, 2022

Hello Aashish,

Speaking strictly in terms of the entrance exam, if you score remains in the 50s range, then there are slim chances of you getting a seat. Judging by the cut off trends of previous years, it might be difficult for you to secure a seat for yourself in any category. However, it is not completely impossible as it ultimately depends upon the paper and exam pattern. You also have a good 10+2 percentage backing you up. There are chances that you may score well in the logical section due to your PCM background.

You can go through this link to study the cut off patterns for last year across various courses under 5 year law.

The marks vs rank data keeps changing as it depends on factors like no. of students, toughness of paper and performance of students. So, one can only guess based on previous year cutoffs. So, analyzing that, your rank might be somewhere around 30k-35k and your score would have been around 135-140. Here's a table for your reference:
