i have complete graduate in 2015 with 50% marks. Now i am doing job from 2017. can i apply for PG?

Moumoyee Chakraborty 6th Oct, 2021

Yes you can, for PG Application into different colleges you need to sit for their entrance examination and check the eligibility criteria of most of the examination. You need to secure 50-55% marks in UG to appear for the examination. But there is one suggestion the Examination authority may ask for a Gap Certificate of these years, be prepared with that.

I did my 12th PCM in 2017. Due to some personal reasons I wish to give NEET 2022. What options do I have to make myself eligible for the same? If I take Biology as an additional subject from NIOS would I fill the eligibility criteria ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Aug, 2021
Hi

Yes, yes you are eligible for NEET 2022 even if you study Biology as an additional subject from NIOS.

This is because,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional / optional subject is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for neet

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-----------)Qualification required:-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examinationwith physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

Important Note :- Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement. It's 1 year left for neet 2022 , So if Supreme Court gives its judgement meanwhile then eligibility will depend upon the outcome of the judgement.

-----------)Percentage required:- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

-----------)Age limit:-to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination i. e 31st December 2021 in case of neet 2021, no upperage limit as of now.

Hi

Yes, yes you are eligible for NEET even if you have studied Biology as an additional /optional subject later on after your 12th provided you meet rest of the eligibility criteria

This is because,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional / optional subject  is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for neet

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-----------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

††Important Note :- Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement.

-----------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this Criteria then you are eligible for Neet examination and after qualifying get admission in Medical colleges as well
