i have filled my jee mains form. in my aadhar card my image is of young age will it create any problem on exam day?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 12th Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant!

It will not cause you any problem possibly, but I would suggest you to take any other Valid ID also with adhar card to keep yourself on safe side. And don't forget to take your admit card with you. Also, if you still have some doubt regarding the photo, then you can update your photo on Adhaar card online/offline.

I have filled my name according to 10th marksheet in jee main form. My aadhar card name is slightly different. Will I be allowed to give exam? a question

Sharon Rose Student Expert 11th Feb, 2021

Hello,

Yes, you can still appear for JEE Main entrance examination. You should actually fill your name, father's name, mother's name and date of birth as per class 10th certificate. So as you have given your name as per class 10th certificate you won't face any problem. Adhaar card is for photo identity purpose. So if you will be carrying Adhaar Card to the examination center you won't face any issue, if is for identification purpose.

I dont have a pan card, driving license, voter id and my date of birth in aadhar card is misprinted. So can I use my birth certificate as an id proof for my gate and rrb exam

Shrishty sahu 6th Feb, 2021
Dear student,
No, you cannot use your birth certificate as id proof because that doesn't contains a photograph of yours. I would advice you to get your aadhar card corrected as soon as possible. You can get that corrected easily in your city. Otherwise if you wish you can apply for pan card or any other identity proof. But as you don't have that much of time I would recommend you to get your aadhar card corrected as ut would be very useful in the future.

i had given aadhar as proof for gate exam i had my name wrong in aadhar card i linked affidavit to it as proof now while going to exam can i take my aadhar as proof

Sharon Rose Student Expert 4th Feb, 2021

Hello,

You need to provide the aadhar card on the day of GATE examination in the respective examination centre. Photo identity needs to be provided to verify your identity whether the same Applicant is appearing for the entrance or not. So you do not have to worry if the name is wrong as you have affidavit stating that the name is wrong and the correct name is so and so. You can carry the affidavit, aadhaar card and GATE admit card to the examination centre.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 28th Jan, 2021

Hey!

No, you cannot use Admit card as a proof of date of birth for updating your date of birth in Adhar card. There are many other ways to update/edit the date of birth in adhar card. You can visit the near by enrolment centre of adhar card or E-disha centre and with the help of some documents such as  SSLC Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport, PAN Card, Government Photo ID Cards or PSU Issued Photo Identity Card that contains the date of birth can be used .

Thankyou

I have SC cast on SC cast my name is right on aadhar card also my my name is right but in 10th and 12th result there is some spelling mistakes in now I am preparing for jee main so my problem is documents verification time in college can create problems if created so what should I do??????

If there are minor spelling mistakes, such as Rajesh becoming Rjesh or Vaishali becoming Vishali, you can accept them; however, if there is a huge error in your names that has completely changed your name, you must repair it. However, because you noted that there are certain spelling errors, they will be overlooked during document verification and will be cross-verified.

My first name is changed to last name in 10th marks card and in aadhar card its opposite. Theres no change in any alphabet, its just the order. Will NTA accept it or reject it?

Shrishty sahu 12th Jan, 2021

Dear student,

In some boards they use different way of writing the student's name, in some first name is written at first followed by the surname while in the other the surname might be written first followed by the name. Both the forms are correct and will not cause any problems to you in future. Just make sure that the spelling is correct in both aadhar card and 10th class marksheet otherwise that might cause a problem.

Palguni Mainam 5th Jan, 2021

Hi..

Candidate you cannot use the  non -updated aardhar card for JEE  because the website doesn't consider it during registration itself. But,it is actually not mandatory to apply with Aadhaar Card. You can also use your  Passport no. , Bank Account ID or any other valid Government ID as a proof.

HOPE THIS HELPED.

Hello Aspirant,

Yes of course you can use your ID card issued by your school because it is acceptable by NTA as you Identification type. For this you have to select the  "School ID card" option in the drop down menu of Identification type in the application form of JEE-Main 2021 then you will have to enter your School ID card number in just next column.

Note that this application process will continues till January 16th 2021 and last date for payment of application fee is January 17th 2021 after which neither application nor application fee will be accepted and then after the correction window will be opened for the applicants from January 19th to January 21st 2021. Admit cards will be available for download from second week of February 2021 and the examination will be conducted from February 23rd to February 26th 2021 in two shifts per day, for February attempt.

A candidate will also have option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/ March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he / she has to pay Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have opportunity to apply again for the March/ April / May Sessions.
