Aadhar card
We would suggest you to write to NTA at their help desk: neet@nta.ac.in to get this clarified. It is true that you should mention the details as per the 10th marks sheet, but now, after the correction window has been closed, it is like being worried over spilled milk. We understand where your apprehensions are coming from. But when you filled up the application form, you also uploaded your 10th marks sheet and both the Application form and 10th marks sheet certainly have different names under Father's name column. But if you did not receive any notification or a mail from NTA regarding the uploaded document stating that there is a mismatch of details at both places, you are technically safe. So you should not be worried about this. NTA cannot over look the uploaded documents and that is why students get notifications regarding reuploading of uploaded documents. If you did not get any such notification, NTA must have considered it to be fine. So you do not have to worry about this. But in general, the chances why an application might be rejected are:
The possible instances in which any NEET application might be rejected are:
Now in your case, it is your Father's name that has been mentioned wrong. Now entering your Father's name wrong will not affect the merit list. Agreed that you should mention the details as per the 10th marks sheet, but now, after the correction window has been closed, it is like being worried about spilled milk. We understand where your apprehensions are coming from. Shakshi, this will not be an issue. Because for one thing, the Supreme Court did mention that Aadhar card cannot be used for Educational purposes. Which means that even if you have mentioned your father's name as in the Aadhar card but it is different in your 10th marks sheet. As this doesn't also effect the merit list when the ranks are released, it is till ok. But please get an affidavit stating that both the names Rohit Kumar Biswas and Rohit Kr Biswas belong to the same person and in fact they are the names of the same person. This will not create any problem during counselling or admission process because you have a supporting document. This is necessary because NTA has closed its correction window on May 31st and you cannot make any changes to your application form now. NTA also doesn't entertain any requests for changes in the application form. So the only next better thing is to get an affidavit done. A local advocate can get this done for you. You will get your Admit card and so do not worry about it at all.
This is not a problem at allfor multiple reasons. First, the Supreme Court has mentioned that Aadhar card is not mandatory for educational purposes which means that even if Aadhar card has a different format of mentioning details, there is no issue. Secondly, as long as there is no change in the details between the ones entered in the application form and the Aadhar card if you uploaded Aadhar card, there is again no problem. Font or formatting deosn't really matter. Whether it is written as PRIYANKA SARKAR or Priyanka Sarkar or PRIyanka SARKar, it is fine as long as my name is Priyanka Sarkar and I have valid proof to show that I am Priyanka Sarkar. This shall not pose any problems during counselling or admission. hi,
see it will not cause a big issue, but you should always update your info in government id cards , now it is mandatory in most of the exams or counselling to bring a government photo ID proof, so next time always keep update your details in ID cards.
Hello,
The details which are in your class 10 certificate are considered for any admission or counselling. You can get an affidavit on a non judicial stamp paper stating that both the names belong to your father and you can submit it at the time of admission if they verify your father's documents.
Hi aspirant ,
you have better opportunity if you opt for dasa scheme because in dasa scheme the students are less and you apply through sat score and because of this less competition and sat is easier than jee main.
hope this help you
best of luck
Shakshi, your father's name doesn't affect the merit list and so your application or admission will not be rejected. What we would suggest you to do is to get an Affidavit done by an Advocate stating that both the names belong to your father only. By producing this Affidavit, you will be producing legal evidence and so your Application will not be rejected and you will not face any problems during admission and counselling.
