Prachi Kumari 21st Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can try for admission into agricultural colleges in Odisha through CUET, but admission depends on the cut-off, seat availability, and category you belong to. With 409/1000, chances in top colleges may be less, but you may get into some colleges if seats remain.

Eligibility (general idea for agricultural courses):

  • Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture.

  • Should have qualified CUET in the required subjects.

  • Age limit is usually 17 years minimum.

Documents generally required:

  • CUET scorecard

  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates

  • Transfer certificate, Conduct certificate

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile certificate (for state quota seats)

  • Passport-size photographs

  • ID proof (Aadhaar, etc.)

Hope it helps !

My rank is 1374 i need admission is HFC category in Assam agricultural University

Nikita shahi 23rd Jul, 2025

Hello,

If your rank is 1374 and you belong to the HFC (Host Farmer’s Category) in Assam, you have a decent chance of getting admission in Assam Agricultural University , Jorhat. This university has a specific reservation for the HFC category, and seats are allotted based on rank, category, and availability of seats in the preferred course.

But the final admission will depend on the cut-off ranks, the number of HFC candidates applying, and the availability of seats in different branches like B.Sc Agriculture, B.V.Sc, B.F.Sc, etc. Usually, HFC cut-offs are slightly relaxed compared to the general category, which improves your chances. AAU conducts its own counselling rounds where you need to register, fill in your choices, and attend the counselling as per the schedule.

If you don’t get a seat in the first list, don’t lose hope wait for the next round or spot counselling, as many students withdraw or change options.

Also, prepare your documents well before the counselling starts like proof of HFC, domicile, academic records, etc.,because any delay or issue may affect your admission.

Wishing you the best for your admission to AAU!

Hi sir.. My son got 11152 rank in AP Eamcet if there any chance get in a seat ANGRAU AGRICULTURAL SEAT

OISHEE BANERJEE 1st Jul, 2025

Hello aspirant,
With a rank of around 11,152 in AP EAMCET (Agricultural stream), your son's chances of securing a seat in B.Sc Agriculture at ANGRAU are strong. Last year, the general category closing ranks for non-farmer seats were around 4,300 to 4,700 in constituent (government) colleges, and extended up to about 11,000 to 14,000 in affiliated (private) ones. Since 11,152 is well within that broader range, he has good scope—especially in private colleges, and possibly in government ones if seats remain in later rounds or under special quotas.

He should register for AP EAMCET counselling, prioritise ANGRAU as a top preference, and continue participating actively through all rounds—including mop-up or stray vacancies. With his rank, securing a seat is highly probable.

Agricultural practical cut off for different agricultural universities

Prachi Kumari 25th Jun, 2025

Hello,

The practical cut-off for B.Sc Agriculture is different for each agricultural university and depends on the exam you are applying through.

For example:

  • CUET-based universities : General category cut-off is usually around 500–525 marks.

  • BCECE (Bihar) : General category cut-off is around 600 marks.

  • KCET (Karnataka) : Cut-off varies every year and is given after each counselling round.

  • OUAT (Odisha) : Cut-off for general category is around 50% in the entrance exam.

Cut-offs are different for each category and change every year. It's best to check the official website of the university or the exam body for exact details.

Hope it helps !

i get 28% percentile mark in cet can i get agricultural college

Rupsa Banerjee 11th Jul, 2025

Dear aspirant,

Actually, 28% percentile in CET may make it challenging to get into a top government agricultural college, but not impossible. Private colleges and colleges with lower cutoffs might be an option. As you know different colleges have different cutoff scores for admission. Some colleges, especially those with a lower ranking or those, that are less popular, might have lower cut offs. Also if you are from a reserved category then you may have a better chance to ge a seat in agriculture in a private college.

Good luck

I have secured 74% in hs exam 2025 , I got 80 in physics, 76 in biology , 78 in English, 87 in alt but I have 2 grace marks in chemistry can I get a seat in Assam agricultural University

Devanshi Goyal 30th Jul, 2025

HELLO,

It is difficult to definitively say that you will get a seat in Assam Agriculture University with a 74% score and two grace marks in chemistry. While 74% is a decent score , the minimum percentage require for admission can vary based on the specific course and the number of applicants. Furthermore , the impact of grace marks on the admission process is determine by AAU's admission policy

1.Overall Percentage :- 74% is a good score and anything above 75% is generally considered a good percentage for class 12 especially for competitive courses. However, the specific cut off for AAU can vary

2. AAU'S policy on grace marks will be crucial. If they accept grace marks for the overall percentage calculation or for specific subject requirements, it might not be a significant issue. However , if they have a strict policy against grace marks, it could affect your eligibility.

3.AAU Admission criteria:- AAU admissions are based on entrance exams like the AAU CET or CUET in addition to the qualifying exam scores. You need to check if your overall percentage and subject scores meet the minimum requirements for the entrance exam and the specific course you are interested in
