The ICAR AIEEA-PG  entrance exam is the main gateway for M.Tech Agricultural Engineering. Usually held in June–July every year (application in April–May).

Some states also conduct their own PG entrance (e.g., TNAU, PAU Punjab, IARI Delhi). For 2025, expect ICAR AIEEA-PG in June 2025.

If your rank is 1374 and you belong to the HFC (Host Farmer’s Category) in Assam, you have a decent chance of getting admission in Assam Agricultural University , Jorhat. Actually, 28% percentile in CET may make it challenging to get into a top government agricultural college, but not impossible. Private colleges and colleges with lower cutoffs might be an option. As you know different colleges have different cutoff scores for admission. Some colleges, especially those with a lower ranking or those, that are less popular, might have lower cut offs. Also if you are from a reserved category then you may have a better chance to ge a seat in agriculture in a private college.
