BSc Agriculture is study of agriculture and it's mainly is concerned with production of foods through processes such as growing of plants, raising of domesticated animals, rural development, rural economy etc. Anything related with food, environment(includes plants and animals), and rural comes in this course of study because all these things are in some way or other impact agriculture process.


Pursuing higher studies definitely increases one's job opportunities that are present in private and government sector. They can work as Agriculture Officer, Farm Manager, Agriculture Loan Officer in Banks, Field Officer, in Fertilizer Units as Operations Manager, in Government Sector as Food Processing Units, Subject Expert at Krishi Vigyan Kendras etc.


Now, coming to BSc Agriculture Business Management, this is more business oriented focusing on the field of agriculture, along with business of lands. This involves learning all the technical, business , management and finance aspects of managing agricultural productions.

Another CAT Preparation material or book to be considered isPrevious Years Solved CAT Paper:

It is always better to read newspaper for CURRENT G.K. than trying to grasp all info at once. Some of the newspaper sources which you can use to prepare this section are The Hindu, Financial Express, and The Economist.

In case, you dont like reading newspaper daily, you can go with Manorama Yearbook or Current Affairs Yearly by Arihant for General Knowledge which is published every year.

In order to prepare for STATIC G.K. section, you need to broaden your overall scope in following sections: Sports, Politics, Entertainment, Biographies, etc. So, for this, you can use Static General Knowledge by A.P. Bhardwaj and S. Chands  Advanced Objective General Knowledge. These books are okay to start with if you are not someone with a newspaper reading habit from the past.

There are plenty of other books for these topics in the market, but these are by far the most popular as well as helpful books for anyone preparing for entrance exams.

Agriculture business Management is a specialised two-year MBA programme which focuses on business aspect of agriculture production and it's international trade.
The eligibility criteria is that you must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline with minimum qualifying marks in aggregate. The course has wide scopes. If you land a good job then,there is no saying about the salary. You will get hefty salaries.

eligibility for post of Agricultural officer -

The candidates must have 4-year graduate degree in agriculture or related field to be eligible for the Agriculture Field Officer post. Candidates who opted one of the below mentioned filled in graduation can apply for Agriculture field officer.
