doing bsc agriculture in ugc (non icar ) university student studies and in getting job can get affected

theeanonymous 17th Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Getting an agriculture degree from ICAR recognized university  definitely holds a good value and standard, so an ICAR certificate may give a little higher weightage while applying for jobs but that does not mean , a BSc agri degree from other institutes are invalid. If your institute or college is UGC approved , you have nothing to worry . You can apply for both private and government jobs with degree from a non icar university too. What matters is your knowledge and skills ,maintain a good grade or merit to attract  good opportunities. However, try your maximum to get into an ICAR institute as the quality of education will be better than the rest.

you have scored exceptionally well and a percentile that high would get you into a lot of colleges. you can shortlist the streams you need to apply to and accordingly check for the colleges that offer those courses and apply to those colleges. you will definitely be able to clear most entrance rounds. no colleges are being mentioned because of yearly variations
