Agronomy
MSc in Agronomy is a postgraduate programme which deals with the study of crops and the soils in which they grow. It is a two-year programme, divided into four semesters in which one learns about the basic concepts in the field of agriculture.
To be eligible to get admission in this course, candidates must have completed bachelors degree from a recognized university with min 50% marks and min 45% for SC or ST candidates.
Students who have given the final year examination and waiting for their result, they are also eligible to apply for the course. However; they will have to submit their final degree result before the admission procedure ends.

The ICAR cut off is the minimum qualifying score that applicants must achieve in order to pass the AIEEA entrance exam. Candidates will be shortlisted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) based on the ICAR 2019 cut off.

The very best two institutes for Agronomy in West Bengal are Viswa Bharati University and Calcutta University. There are some other great options like Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya , Netaji Subhash Open University and Vidyasagar University. These are the only options in government institutes however there are some options in the private sector too like Techno India, Neotis etc. All the best!
