Both the cerrificates have their own importance and benefits. Economically backward class and Economically Weakee Sections however differ. Hence their elgibilty criteria, beneficiary points will also vary depending on the situations. Both are there to support the economically backward category people.

Even though your chances of selection are pretty low, I would suggest you to apply for the application. There have been incidences when the cutoff was highly different due to the change in the number of students. Don't keep hopes but still try. It won't cost much.
