Is it necessary to get the admission in same college from the preferred college list in registration form

Arushi 9th Jun, 2019

Hi Vaishanavi,

Its not neccessary to get an admission in same college from the preferred college list in the registration form. It all depends on the percentile you score  in the exam. Try to score at least above 90 percentile to get a good admission in good college.

I hope I have cleared your doubt. Wish you all the best.

ATMA Score 94.67 percentile, im from OBC. Is there any chances in JBIM

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 16th Jul, 2019

With your percentile it's really difficult to get a chance in JBIMS Mumbai because only few seats are available for ATMA and you need to get at least 97-98 percentile (in OBC category) to get them.

Moreover if you are targeting JBIMS only then you have this year to prepare and you can perform well in CAT or MAH CET because most of the admissions are done through these exams and only 10% seats are available for students from outside Maharashtra.

But with your percentile you can check out these colleges

  • Department of Management Studies, University of Pune
  • IPE Hyderabad
  • SIES college of Management studies
  • Indus Business Academy
  • ITM Navi Mumbai and other colleges.

Good luck

can someone take admission in MMS, if that person has secured 0.6 percentile in ATMA

Aaa Student Expert 7th Jun, 2019

Hello Deepshilpa,

I feel sorry to inform you that, 0.6 %ile is very very low, in fact, you don't qualify at this low percentile to apply to any college. No college will accept this low percentile. To secure admission in a good college through ATMA on needs to secure at least 85 %ile. If you score high percentile, you can expect a good college. You can try hard next time best luck.

My atma may score 2019 is 77%ile . Can i get a call from sies ?

Aaa Student Expert 6th Jun, 2019

Hello Yogita,

No official cutoff for SIES is declared anywhere. But it is observed over years of experience by the experts that the people securing 80%ile and above are shortlisted and given a call for interview process for PGDM program. There are rare cases of students getting a call at below 80%ile.

Even if you get a call at 77%ile, it is tougher to convert as it is noticed that though they give a call to students scoring 80%ile and above, most of the students who finally convert are having 90%ile and above.

You can apply and wish for the best, if luckily you get a call, it will then be your turn to convert it.

Best luck!

Rudraksh Parey 15th Jul, 2019

the chances for the conversion of the call will depend upon how you score in GDPI, WAT, and your past academic background also matters a lot, as well. So work hard on all those things which are still in your hand.

all the best for the future and i hope you get the college you want to be in.

tyagi2001ayush_9087518 Student Expert 14th Jul, 2019
Hello there

As far as both these colleges are compared,  I will suggest you to take admission in Atma Ram sanatan dharm college,  it is one of the best college of South campus, after Venketeshwar college. I would have prefered ARSD over acharya Narendra dev college,  because of better faculty and better job opportunities.

Hope I am clear.
