Dear Divya ,

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AVV), Coimbatore  is ranked 8th Best University in India by NIRF, Govt of India and awarded ‘Institution of Eminence’. It is established in the year of 2003 and it is a Deemed to be University with Approved by All India Council for Technical Education , MHRD and Accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade, Advance Collegiate School of Business  .

Apart from that they also provides good teaching with placements facilities according your selected branch its campus placements percentage is good .Some of top recruiters companies are TATA,TCS,Infosys ,wipro .Campus also provide higher education in foreign colleges who they have tie up on different research purposes. One of the main example is Arizona university and Buffalo university. There is a different section called campus and industrial relations which will help the students to prepare fore placements and company interviews.

If we go through the above mentioned details then it is good college and you can take admission but if am i correct then you are from DELHI and Amrita Coimbatore is situated in Karnataka state where atmosphere is really good but you can face little bit problem in your fooding  because you are northern side of India .

Hope it will helpful

which IIITs are better than amrita Coimbatore campus??

Vivek Kumar 13th Sep, 2020

Hi there comparing the both Amrita Coimbatore and top IIIT insitute will result in draw or IIIT will get win. I'm saying so on behalf of some aspects such as fees, placements, college environment and many more.

Since top IIIT such as IIIT, Bangalore is a Government institute so it sure do will possess more facilities as compare to Amrita Coimbatore. As well as the placement criteria is also good in IIIT as compare to Amrita Coimbatore. Otherwise rest depends on you.

You can go through College Comparison once with Careers 360 College Comparison tool(link mentioned below);

my aeee 2020 rank is 4893.will i get any scholarship in fees for ece in amrita coimbatore.i am from Coimbatore.

Nikhitha Sai 10th Sep, 2020
Hello student. 4893 rank is a pretty good one to fetch you the seat in the branch of ece in amritha coimbatore.
But when it comes to scholarships, it is provided only to the top 3 rankers.  So you might not be able to get the scholarship in the branch if ece
But as far as the seat is concerned,  you would definitely get the ece branch there.

I got 1951 rank in aeee exam can I get seat in cse amrita coimbatore campus?

Nikhitha Sai 10th Sep, 2020
Hello student. 1951 is a good rank. But according to last year cut off, the closing rank for computer science in amritha coimbatore is 1800 for general category.
Every year, the closing rank and the seats allocation change depends upon many factors like number of student taking the exam, number of student attending the counselling etc. So no need to lose hope. There are still chances.
If you have any quota or reservation, chances might improve.

Which is better Amrita Coimbatore or Amrita Bangalore in terms of fees and placements for cse ? I got 2014 rank in AEEE

Shiva saketh 8th Sep, 2020

Hello Student,

First of all congratulations for getting 2014 rank. As you asked which one is better in terms of fees and placement I would say Amrita Coimbatore. This is because Amrita Coimbatore is the main campus. Now coming to the fee structure I would briefly give you a note on both the campuses fee structure

Amrita Coimbatore fee structure for CSE:

B.tech-

Tuition fees-3,00,000/-

Hostel fees-97,000/-

Total-3,97000/-

Eligibility- 10+2 with 75% +AEEE

Amrita Banglore fee structure for CSE:

Tuition Fees- 2,60000/-

Hostel Fees- 89,000/-

Total- 3,49000/-

Coming to Infrastructure, its no doubt that coimbatore campus is the best, the campus area is also very large, there are 2 big play ground, 2 gyms, 2 Long tennis court and many more.  Bangalore campus doesn't have all these. No matter what placements are same for all campuses. It generally happens in Coimbatore campus(most of the companies come here) and Bangalore and Amritapuri students visit coimbatore campus frequently for their placements. The number of companies taking CSE branch is very high and CSE students bag the highest package every year from companies like Amazon,Cisco,Intuit etc. On a personal note, I would recommend Coimbatore campus. Coimbatore campus have many clubs to improve your skills.

Thankyou , feel free to ask questions any time.

But college is also depend on another factors like your category and state from where you belong you will get state quota or not. KIIT E&CS and Amrita Coimbatore CSE or ECE which college is best

Palak kumari 7th Sep, 2020

Hey aspirant,

As I have researched on both the colleges I guess both the colleges are good in placement wise but if we talk about KIIT for CSE than it's an amazing opportunity for you as every year the placement is growing in a better way. Almost 95% of students get placed in almost a good package. Getting a seat in CSE in KIIT is a dream of many students out there so if you are getting for CSE you must go for it. NOW, talking about ECE in KIIT then placement does happen but not that great as CSE. Almost 60% students get placement for ECE every year. So, for CSE KIIT is a good option. The highest package offered is 39lpa and whereas the average package offered is 6lpa.

Talking about AMRITA COIMBATORE, ECE here is one of the active departments in the campus. It follows a rigorous programme to make the student match with the current industry standards. The department is equipped with the state of the art laboratories for both research and academic purposes. Department also provides domestic and international internship opportunities to students. So, this college is a good option for both i.e, ECE &CSE.The highest package offered in ECE is 22lpa while the average is around 4-5lpa.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

I got 15002 rank in AEEE. will I get seat in amrita coimbatore under state quota for ECE or CSE

S. Saha Student Expert 7th Sep, 2020
Congratulations for your result. With this rank you can surely get Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus. This is one of the best campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. You know the cutoffs change every year as it depends on various factors. As you have mentioned that you belong to the state quota so the cutoffs will be quite low compared to the other state candidates. Going by last few years' cutoffs, it may be difficult to get Computer Science and Engineering in Coimbatore campus as the closing rank for CSE lies around 13000 rank. But you can surely expect Electronics and Communications Engineering as the closing rank for this branch lies around 16000 rank. Now this is based on previous few years' cutoffs and this year it might change. You can also check the cutoffs of other campuses and other branches here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

Amrita' s Coimbatore Campus is one of the best campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. It has been rated AAAA grade by Careers360 which means very good. Computer Science and Engineering has an amazing placement throughout years in the Coimbatore campus. The placement percentage is pretty high. Companies such as Amazon, Juniper, Cisco, Infosys, Deloitte, Siemens and many other various companies come for recruitment CS Engineers. Not only software companies, but also marketing and salea companies, Consulting, Business development organisations also recruit. Not only the placement, the Infrastructure is pretty good. All the facilities are properly provided and the course is backed up renowned faculties. Along with the regular course curriculum, various skill enhancement programs are also conducted. Now the cutoffs depend on various factors like your category, if you belong to state quota or not. For Coimbatore Campus, if you have Tamil Nadu State quota you can get CSE even  if you have a rank over 10000. Cause the closing rank for CSE in Coimbatore campus lies around 13000. And those who don't belong to the state, need to secure a rank around 1800 for CSE. For Amritapuri campus, state quota closing rank for CSE is around 16000 and for other state candidates the closing rank lies near about 6800. However this is based on previous year cutoffs and this year it might change. You can check the cutoffs here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff
