Amrita Coimbatore is an older and more established college . Hence, it has better alumni network, industry connections which will translate as better opportunities for internships and placements. The faculty is also better at Amrita Coimbatore and being an older campus, it will have better infrastructure for recreational activities as well.

VIT AP is a relatively new college. If you get Amrita in slab1/slab2 you have a really good chance of getting better quality education with lower fees.

It is preferable to study ECE in Coimbatore. You may study CS alongside ECE. Most companies accept ECE as well as CS.

It is generally a moral value question. Yes, every colleges and institutions have gender wise washrooms available. To confirm, you can always visit the college.

In Amrita Coimbatore, saparate girls and boys hostels are available with facilities like Gym, sports and indoor games. It might offer single room but most of the colleges offers room from two seaters to 3 seaters depending on the room size and number of students. While taking admission, I suggest you to talk to the warden, for the availability of the room. If you are an early aspirant, the chances of getting room of your choice are better.
