Animation
Hi B Purushothaman,
Most institutions look for some bit of aptitude in a student. You should have finished 10+2 in any stream to be able to write the entrance exams that most colleges have. An aptitude towards the arts is necessary and it helps to be able to draw, photograph, write or even work with graphics. Most colleges have their own entrance exams and interview before selecting a student. Check their website for details. Some colleges would have an entrance test, a portfolio review and an interview.

For that you require animation skills since you wish to be an animation maker. Your B.Tech degree will not be sufficient. Check the career sections for the channels and write to them asking about the skill sets they require. Also do an animation course so you are having the skills for it.

Dear Veronica,
To make a good drawing, you need to be creative, imaginative, and possess good drawing skills. To increase the speed, you can look at sample drawings and try to copy it. According to me, drawings/paintings shouldbe made using your own imagination, creativity. Drawings can be used to portray your message, your imagination, thoughts. You can take coaching classes too. Dear Anku,
Since the question was asked months ago, I hope you might have opted for any course in gaming.
Gaming is a highly competitive sector. Professionals need to have a fine balance of fun, creativity and technology. The gaming industry creates different types of games for different platforms like video games . To become a game designer, you will need the required skills like you should have excellent IT skills and must be imaginative and creative. You should have patience and you will need to pay attention to every small detail.
Courses are offered after class 10th and also undergraduate courses are offered for candidates to make a career in gaming. For a career in gaming industry one needs to have a sound understanding of how gaming technology runs and how people play games. For Game Design, one could consider undertaking a specialized course though most game designers are self-taught. To pursue a degree programme in Game Designing, one needs to complete his/her class 12th in Science (some institutes also require Mathematics in 12th for admission). One can go for programmes such as B.Sc Animation and Gaming, B.Sc in Gaming etc.
Career options as a Game Designer-
Some of the prominent and in-demand career options for Game Designers are Environment Artists, Texturing Artists, Character Modelers, Animators, Game Designers, Level Editor, Game Programmers, Art Director. If one has a love for art, creativity and innovation, and a deep passion for games, then a career in Gaming could be the perfect choice.
