i got 934 marks in intermediate ap board 2021 and in mains i got 60 percentile will i get seat in sastra university??

PADMESH KRISH 24th Jul, 2021

Hello Usha Sri!!

Admissions in Sastra University is based upon two categories.

1. 85% of the total seats are filled based upon the JEE MAINS score and 12th grade marks.

2. Remaining 15% of the seats are filled based only upon the marks secured in 12th grade or any other equivalent examination.

As per the criteria, you are eligible for applying for both the categories.

You have lot of chances to claim a seat in category 1 where you have a good score in the intermediate and a decent percentile in JEE mains.

On the other hand, only 15% of the seats ( very less no. of seats) only filled using the marks secured in the intermediate. So, there will be more competition for this category.

You apply for both the categories and attend the counselling.

Hope for the best!

BEST OF LUCK!

I got 95.6 percentage in AP Board exams. Can I get seat in Sastra University? If I can then which branch can I get?

Virat Srivastava 19th Jul, 2021

Dear candidate, In Sastra there is no minimum board cutoff or minimum percentile required in JEE. It is based on 12th percentage and jee main marks sastra will calculate like this:

12th percentage * 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25

It will be out of 165 marks. Then a merit list will be prepared. It is clearly visible that 75% percent marks are from boards and 25% marks of JEE. You need to have a good JEE score and high on boards. A minimum of 90+ marks in JEE and 95%+ marks in boards will keep you on a safer side. Chances are less. However, cutoff may vary due to some reasons:

Difficulty level of JEE

Number of candidates appeared in exam

Number of seats in college this time.

Hope, it helps!

I didnt appear for my 12th exams in AP board due to Typhoid, and I failed in all subjects, but later I direct passed due to covid 19,I got less score in 12th,Am I able to write supplymentary exams in 2021 ?

Harish Jayaraj 1st Nov, 2020

hi

its up to you.

if you ask if there is any possibility, then yes, there are possibilities for you to write another exam.

but not as a supplementary or compartmental exam. you have to appear for class 12 again. study 1 year and then write exam and clear it. if you wanted to write a compartment, then you should have asked the school about it a long back. now its too late. all college processes are over.

but you have a pass certificate i guess. bcoz of covid thing. so you can decide if you can do some ITI or polytechnic and you also have a good future in it.

those arent any shit courses. they are valuable too. if you take it properly and work on it.

other wise, re appearing 12th is the best option (personally). so now its up to you to choose among the options.

good luck

my eamcet marks are 105 and ap board marks are 590/600.what would be my estimated eamcet rank

Maddula Varshini 30th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As you know rank will depends on two factors i.e., IPE marks + AP EAMCET marks. For your IPE marks 590/600*25=24.58 and for your AP EAMCET marks 105/160 = 49.21 . Then your overall combined score will be 24.58 + 49.21 = 73.79. According to the marks vs rank analysis AP EAMCET 2019, For this marks your rank range will be 1,001-5,000(79-70 marks).

i finished inter 2nd year this year (2020) in ap board. and in IPE my pionts was 7.4 and ap eamcet get 40 marks.can i please know what my rank?

arpan00002 9th Oct, 2020

Hi aspirant,

You got 40 marks in ap eamcet & ipe points 7.4.

Now, listen, ap eamcet merit marks depend on both of these marks. Here is the entire calculation:

Total score= IPE score + EAMCET score

IPE score= [(Total group marks for 600)/ 24 ] gives you marks out of 25

EAMCET score= (75/100)*EAMCET normalised marks.

The combined score vs rank list is also given here for your help:

Marks: 99-90

Rank:1-100

Marks: 89-80

Rank: 101-1k

Marks: 79-70

Rank: 1k-5k

Marks: 69-60

Rank: 5k -15k

Marks: 59-50

Rank: 15k - 50k

Marks: 49-40

Rank: 50k - 1.5 L

Marks: 39-30

Rank: >1.5L

The candidate should be with 1400 to 1700 rank to get a descent government seat. Otherwise, he/she will get a medium good government college or a private one.

An ap eamcet college predictor tool is given here:

i finished inter 2nd year this year(2020) in AP board. My IPE point is 8.6 and eamcet score is 53.Can i please know what will be my rank

Vinay Kumar 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello mohna,

Apart from the marks that you scored in ipe and eamcet, your category also plays an important role in determining the college and rank so I assume that you are from open category.

As per the marks that you had mentioned in ipe and eamcet, you are likely to get a rank between 36,000 to 40,000.

Kindly note that this prediction is based on previous data and variations occur every year.

Here's a link for your college prediction which will be very helpful in determining which colleges can you get based on the rank you scored,
