army wing or air force wings exams are different or not

Atul Singh 4th Jul, 2021

Dear Bhavesh,

It depend upon the exam or stage you applied for, you can go to any defense force just after 12th or after graduation.

1. After 12th

You have to appear for NDA and there syllabus is same for the the branches of defense like Army, Navy and Airforce. After that they call you for SSB then for medical if are recommended they your name will come on the merit list after that you can join any of the preferred force ( in the application form you need to clear that which force you want to join ).

2. After graduation

There are different ways to join defense after graduation. For CDS you have to complete the same syllabus for Army, Navy and Airforce to get the admission in IMA, INA, AFA which is English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. But you need engineering degree for Navy and Airforce and any degree for Army. There is separate exam for Airforce called AFCAT where the syllabus is English, General Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and military aptitude.

So you see there is not much difference in the syllabus of any defense exam, you have to prepare for one syllabus and eligible for all.

Best of Luck!!!

Can a female lieutenant officer after clearing CDS take retirement from army .... can give upsc and appointed as an IAS ?

Karamvir Singh 2nd Jul, 2021

Hey Aditi,

Mere getting selected cannot make you an Army officer. You need to get into Officers Training Academy, Chennai for 9-11 months of hard training. Under the circumstance conditions also, no candidate is allowed to leave training in between. However, you can do so after completing the training. You will not get a sort of retirement or pension facility, it will be called a resignation and you need to submit it in Army Headquarters. Further, you can surely appear for UPSC CSE and be an IAS Officer. There is no such restriction to do so. However, if you are really focused for IAS, then it will be better to pursue it further, because if you leave army after getting selected and training, you may take a place from an another candidate having this dream and is sincere to pursue it.

The number of students who take the AIL LET exam is quite variable. However, based on a rough figure, expect approximately 3000–4000 students from all across India to compete for 80 seats. Some of them might have securd place in other institute also.

The seat matrix is as given below

  • Seats for Wards of Army Personnel - 60 Seats
  • Seats for All India General Category - 04 Seats
  • Seats for Punjab Residents Civil Category - 16 Seats

Written tests for 64 seats (60 seats for Army personnel's wards + 04 seats for the All India General Category) will be conducted.

After completing mbbs from AFMC if a person wishes to continue and serve in the army for next 7 years... then during these 7 years will the aspirant be allowed to give PG neet exam or would have to wait till the bond ends

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th Aug, 2021
Hi

In Afmc , there's a bond of 7 years i. e  after completing mbbs you have to serve army as medical officer for 7 years. And if  you fail to fulfill this, then you have pay the bond amount, of Rs 30,00,000

So,
You can give neet pg examination after mbbs from afmc , but if you get a seat in NEET PG then to get admission in pg, you will have to pay bond amount, of Rs 30,00,000 ( thirty lakh).

Or

If you don't want to pay bond amount of Rs 30,00,000 then you will have to serve the bond period of 7 years  and then  you can go for your Pg by qualifying neet pg etc examination.

To help you further,

Here's a brief of how you can get into AFMC

----)Appear in neet, qualify it, then apply inAFMC Pune throughmcc counselling once itgets started and for that you will have to visit its official website i. e www.mcc.nic

---)Then on the basis of neet marks , students get shortlisted and then merit list is published.

In 2020 , 618 marks was required for boys and 637 marks in neet was required for girls to get into AFMCYou can check the same at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/afmc-mbbs

----)After getting shortlisted , you will have to give some additional examination to get admission in AFMC , that is :-

  • *Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic, and Reasoning which is called ToELR,

  • *Psychological Assessment Test i.e. PAT,

  • * Interview

----)After clearing these, you will have to go through your medicalExamination

-----) And then finally on the basis of all these along with neet score, final list of selected students is published for admission.

You can get detailed admission process by going through the our page ,the link for the same is provided below :https://www.careers360.com/colleges/armed-forces-medical-college-pune/admission
