In most government or state board schools, there is no strict cut off and students passing Class 10 can choose Arts. But in private Or reputed schools they may expect a minimum of 50-60% overall marks especially in subjects like England and social sciences . Girls with average or even low marks often get Arts, as it's considered more flexible.
