I have paased my class 12 from Assam (AHSEC). I didnt get required percentage to be eligible for any engineering entrance exam. I want to improve my percentage. Do i need to reappear in all subjects to be eligible?

Tanya Gupta 11th Jul, 2022

Hello,

The eligibility for engineering candidates are 1) they must have scored at least 60% in class 12. 2) Candidates must have completed their 12th in science stream with maths, physics and chemistry as a part of their subjects.

You do not need to reappear for all the exams. You can appear only for the subjects that are main in the eligibility for engineering. The main subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Maths.  You can appear for these examinations only and also if you are sure that these subjects plus the other subjects included will give you a percentage of more than 60% then you don't have to give any other exam.

I hope this helps,

All the best

Kushagra Singh 11th Jul, 2022

Hi,

After counselling is finished, you are required to visit the college for physical document verification to your allotted college within the due date, failing of which may cancel your seat.

The basic documents that are required:

1. Class 10th and 12th original mark sheets

2. Class 12th passing certificate

3. Transfer Certificate

4. Cast and PWD certificate (if applicable)

5. Domicile certificate

and all other certificates that are listed in checklist provided by your college.

Yes, Domicile certificate will be required to verify your hometown location.

You are required to take self-attested photocopies of these documents along with your passport size photograph.

I hope it helped.

Thank you!

i upgraded from nlu jabalpur to nlu assam in second list.in the first list I payed 281000 to jabalpur.Do I have to pay admission fee of 193000 to assam also?

Med 9th Jul, 2022

Hi Avantika, congratulations on the upgrade! Yes you can get yourself transferred to NLU Assam from NLU Jabalpur even if you have paid the admission fees. It is best to go forward with the transfer process via the centralized counselling process before the admissions get closed by the consortium. If you upgrade your university via CLAT, the amount that you paid to NLUJAA shall automatically get transferred to NLU Jabalpur. The task would pretty much be handled by the NLU itself and you won't have to worry about it.

However, in case you are not able to go through with the upgrade process and the consortium terminates the admissions, you will have to write an application to the registrar of NLUJAA mentioning that you wish to withdraw and state the reason for the same. They shall return your marksheet along with a TC. However they will only refund 50% or 1/3rd of the fees paid, whatever the university guidelines are. Please make sure that you receive a written confirmation of the refund that you are eligible for, for staying on the safer side.

Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Hello sir, i got 43 in physics 45 in chemistry and i have 54% in aggregate pcb and i have grace marks in physics and chemistry. Can i get admission in any medical college from state quota assam?

Sanjana 1st Jul, 2022

Admission for medicine in state quota is via NEET exam.  Your 12marks or grace mark have no role in neet exam. As you mentioned physics and chemistry marks you need to mention biology mark to get an idea about total mark. Admission is based on neet rank in state quota. Your category also plays a role in predicting your college.
