Prachi Kumari 21st Dec, 2024

Hello,

As a BAMS student from GAC Nanded, Maharashtra, with an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) admission category, here's a quick overview regarding your eligibility for the Minority Scholarship and Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance DMER:

  1. Minority Scholarship :

    • Minority scholarships are usually reserved for students from recognized minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, etc.
    • If you belong to any of these communities, you can apply for the Minority Scholarship, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria set by the government or institution.
    • EWS students are generally not considered as a minority group, but you may be eligible based on your community affiliation.
  2. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance DMER :

    • This scheme is for students in medical and paramedical fields. As a BAMS student, you may be eligible if your institution is recognized by the scheme.
    • The EWS category does not affect eligibility, but check with the institution’s DMER office for specific details.

Hope it helps !

Can BAMS doctors apply for jgbeels exam, for MSC neuroscience in national brain research centre

Tanya Gupta 9th Dec, 2024

Hello,

To apply for the JGEEBILS (Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences) exam for MSc Neuroscience at the National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), you typically need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

- A Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 55% marks.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery) is a medical degree that focuses on Ayurveda, and it may not be directly considered a STEM degree.

However, some institutions might consider BAMS graduates eligible for certain interdisciplinary programs, including neuroscience.

My bams college started literally few days ago and I already feel like fish out of water..I started my neet prep for 2025 . Can I quit the bams in the middle after getting govt med seat. As far as I know I havent signed any bond or documents regarding the fine or penalty regarding quitting it in the middle..but do you think the institution would still demand me to pay the whole 5 year fee... And Im studying in a govt seat in a private Ayurveda college affiliated to RGUS Bangalore.and is there anyone who could help me with such procedures and the post drop out procedures like the documents I have to collect from the clg ?? Please do let me know....

Prachi Kumari 15th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can quit BAMS if you secure a government medical seat, but it's crucial to check the specific terms of your college and university rules.

  • Fees and Penalty:

    • Since you haven't signed a bond or agreement regarding fines for quitting, it's less likely that you'll face an immediate penalty, but you may still be liable for the remaining fees of the academic year.
    • Government Ayurvedic colleges often have strict rules regarding fee refunds, and the college might retain a portion of the fees if you leave midway.
  • Documents to Collect:

    • Request a Transfer Certificate (TC) and Migration Certificate to ensure smooth transition to your new medical seat.
    • Obtain your marksheets and any other academic documents from the college.
    • You might need to fill out a leave or withdrawal form for official records.
  • Post-Drop Out Procedures:

    • After dropping out, ensure your seat is officially vacated for future candidates.
    • Keep a record of your communication with the college administration regarding your departure.
  • Consultation:

    • It's wise to speak to the college administration or a legal advisor to clarify all procedural details before making the final decision.

Hope it helps !

I am studying 1st year bams in Bangalore a govt seat in a private college .but I want to drop out after the 1st year to join mbbs do I have to pay any penalty or should I pay the whole 5 years fee...can anyone tell me the post dropout procedures and the documents that I should be collecting from the bams college?

kumardurgesh1802 28th Nov, 2024

Hello Mohan,

If you plan to drop out of your BAMS course in Bangalore to join MBBS, you must:

  1. Check College Policy: Verify if you need to pay a penalty or the full 5-year fee. This depends on your admission agreement.

  2. Submit an Application: Provide a resignation letter stating your intent to discontinue.

  3. Clear Dues: Settle all pending fees, hostel, or library charges.

  4. Collect Documents: Obtain your original certificates (12th marksheet, TC, migration certificate, etc.) and a course discontinuation certificate.

  5. Penalty Fees: Government seats may have nominal penalties, while private colleges might demand full course fees.

Confirm these details with your college administration before proceeding. Ensure you have secured an MBBS seat before leaving BAMS.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

All india bams new registration date and fees

Sajal Trivedi 19th Nov, 2024

Hello aspirant,

NEET UG scores are used to determine BAMS Admission 2024. Some colleges exclusively provide direct admission through management quota seats, even though leading universities accept NEET results for BAMS entrance. In Karnataka, Odisha, and Gujarat, applicants can apply for BAMS admission through state-level counseling that additionally takes their NEET scores into account.

Whats your 3rd round cutoff For bams

sadafreen356 29th Oct, 2024

Cutoffs are depends upon various factors also it varies every year .. we can't tell exact cutoff of a particular year but surely they are resonated to last year's cutoffs…

If you are targeting government colleges than the 3rd round cutoff will be around 420 plus and fees is less than 20k.

In 3rd round for semi government colleges you need to have score more than 380 plus and fees is lump sum around 70k

If you are interested in private colleges more than 300 is enough for getting in bams college but fees here is around 5 lakh rupees.

All the best...
