Ishita 30th Jul, 2024

Hello Aspirant

BHU is counted as one of the most reputed and oldest universities in the world. The intake process is quite rigorous and tough. If you wish to get into BHU via your CUET score, you must acquire a mark range of at least 250-300 out of 450. Even after this, the range differs every year and for every category (General, OBC, SC/ST)

If you have the desired marks, sign up for their counseling session.

Pursuing BCom Honors from a prestigious government institute like DU, AMU, or BHU offers several advantages:

  • Strong Academic Reputation: These institutions have a stellar reputation, enhancing your CV's credibility.
  • Better Job Prospects: Top companies often prefer candidates from renowned institutions, increasing your job opportunities.
  • Extensive Alumni Network: Access to a vast alumni network can provide valuable mentorship and career guidance.
  • Diverse Exposure: Government institutes offer a diverse student body, enriching your learning experience.
  • Government Jobs: These institutions often have better placement records for government jobs.
  • Higher Salaries: Graduates from top government institutes tend to command higher salaries.

While private colleges have improved, government institutes still hold an edge in terms of brand value, alumni network, and overall academic rigor, leading to better career prospects.

hope this helps you!!

my marks are 386/600 in general category, will be able to apply in bhu?

Radhika Goyal 14th Aug, 2024

Securing admission to BHU with a score of 386 in the general category is highly competitive.

While your score is decent, the cut-offs for BHU, especially in popular courses, are generally high. Factors like the specific course you're targeting, the number of applicants, and reservation quotas can influence your chances.

To improve your chances:

  • Research Course Cutoffs: Check previous year's cut-offs for your desired course at BHU to get an idea of the competition.
  • Explore Other Options: Consider other central universities or state universities that might have lower cut-offs.
  • Prepare for Counseling: If you qualify for counseling, be prepared with your preferences and choices.

Remember: Admission to prestigious institutions like BHU is based on merit, and a high score increases your chances significantly.

Can we get admission in BHU without CUET exam?

Shrutika Wahane 26th Jul, 2024

Hello there,

No, you cannot take admission to Banaras Hindu University (BHU) without taking CUET Exam at both Under-graduation and Post-graduation Level. BHU only consider the score secured in CUET as per the NEP.

The exam of CUET has already been taken by NTA (National Testing Agency) for the academic session of 2024-2025. You can apply for CUET next year and take admission in BHU by scoring the required score to grab is seat in BHU. The cutoffs of BHU are high. So, you must secure 650- 780 in CUET.

I hope you will do great.

Good Luck.

I hope this information will be helpful for you.

maine cuet me bhara tha phy chem math eng or gt ke liye par mujhe bhu allahabad or du chahiye ba ke liye mera 260 mark aaya hai 1050 me se lya mujhe ba milega

Radhika Goyal 29th Sep, 2024

Hy,

With a score of 260 out of 1050 in the CUET (Common University Entrance Test), your chances of securing admission in BA programs at prominent universities like Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Delhi University (DU) may vary. Here's a breakdown of what to consider:

Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

  1. Cutoff Trends :

    • The cutoff marks for BA programs at BHU can vary each year based on the number of applicants and their performance.
    • Generally, for BA programs, cutoffs for general category students are usually higher. The cutoff for different subjects can range from around 300 to 500 marks depending on the specific program and category.
  2. OBC/SC/ST Category :

    • If you belong to OBC/SC/ST categories, there may be some relaxation in the cutoff, but a score of 260 might still be on the lower side for competitive programs.

Delhi University (DU)

  1. Cutoff Trends :

    • Delhi University has a very competitive admission process, and the cutoff for BA programs, especially in reputed colleges, can be quite high.
    • For DU, cutoffs for BA programs in top colleges often range from 350 to 500+ marks for general category students, which means a score of 260 might not meet the eligibility criteria for most colleges.
  2. Special Category Reservations :

    • Similar to BHU, if you belong to OBC or SC/ST categories, you may have a better chance, but you still need to be aware of the cutoffs.

Conclusion

  • Chances of Admission : Given the score of 260 , it may be challenging to secure admission in BA programs at either BHU or DU, especially if you're targeting more popular or competitive colleges.
  • Alternative Options : Consider looking at other universities or colleges that may have lower cutoffs or programs that interest you.

sir i got 152 marks in cuet 2024 . can i get admission in bhu ba

Ishita 17th Jul, 2024

Hello Aspirant,

Getting admission in BHU is a tough task, that too in BA courses. Seeing your score, it seems a little farfetched idea to get into BHU. You should have mentioned your Category because cut-offs differ a lot from one category to another. Unless you are from the SC/ST category, it is very difficult to get into BHU with below 200-250 marks (this is only for BA course) just to be on the safer side.

The cut-off for BA Hons Philosphy was the lowest for BHU this year with 115 for SC, 186 for OBC, 191 for EWS and 201 for General.

There are a number of colleges affiliated with BHU so I can suggest that you wait for 3rd or may be 4th list, if they even release it which they most probably will not, and see for yourself.

You can apply for other colleges for the time being.

Hope this helps

i would get 184 marks in gpat exam this year and 70 percentage in bpharma .so is there any chance can i get admission in iit bhu

Afreen 29th Sep, 2024

IIT BHU has four different for M. Pharmacy which are Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy so they declared cutoff ranks according to your marks for each category  every year cutoff changes due to various factors. They called 7 times more number students for counseling than the total seat available there.some application also get rejected because of not having gpat score and lack of eligibility so they create chance for other candidates.

So,If You want to be on Safe side you should achieve atleast below 500 rank in GPAT.
