Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Hello,
Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore has been ranked higher than BIT Bangalore. BE Electronics and Communication Engineering in Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore has lower fees. There are 180 seats in BIT Bangalore and 120 seats in Ramaiah college. Both the colleges are Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi affiliated. BIT is an Affiliated College and Ramaiah college is Autonomous College.
Hope this helps you.
All the Best.
Yes sir, i know your query as i would like to tell about it in brief as follows
PESIT is a good college for CSE, but ECE has very mediocre placements and inexperienced faculty with not so dedicated team for placements.Placements are good for ECE at BIT and if you are willing to complete engineering and then work for some multinational companies.Placement is usually 97% of the eligible students, the packages are better when compared to other colleges. Students from ECE, do get placed easily but for others, it's a struggle. If students have decent percentage they to get placed with high salary.Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) witnesses about 70-80% placements with reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Bosch, Samsung, Ericsson, Huawei, Sony, Nokia coming in for campus placements. Google also visit the campus and select few lucky students from here as well. The average salary is a mediocre Rs 3.5 lakhs per year and the highest goes to around Rs 9 lakhs per annum, a phenomenon observed in only a few selected colleges. However, PES has an intake of 120 with 60% placements, rest of students go with off-campus pool interviews and hence this college is not recommended for ECE.All the best ahead for future

Hello Suraj, I would suggest you go for Mechanical in BIT Bangalore in this case because of the fact that EEE in SIT is not as famous as the CSE branch. SIT is renowned due to its CSE course. There is not much to tell about EEE. Moreover, BIT is located in Bangalore which will give you the much needed industrial exposure which you will definitely miss in SIT.
Hey Suraj,
Placements : The placements have been good so far. Most of the well known MNCs like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, etc., visited the campus. This year, two students got placed with a package of Rs. 52 LPA in Microsoft. CSE placements have been good so far with 145 students from CSE getting placed in tier-1 colleges out of 300. ECE placements were okay. Around 28 students got placed in tier-1 colleges and around 75 in tier-2 out of 200. The highest placement package offered was Rs. 32 LPA for ECE students.
Infrastructure : PES campus is pretty small, and things seem to be very congested. There are narrow roads and tall buildings. There is a lack of a sports ground. Inside the campus, there is one cricket ground and one basketball and football ground. The football ground is like one-fourth or even smaller than that of the necessary ground size. There is no proper Wi-Fi connectivity inside the campus. At some places, you'll get good Wi-Fi network, and in some places, it'll be zero. Inside the hostel, you get zero Wi-Fi networks. The Wi-Fi facility is like one of the worst here. Downloading speed will never get over 200KBps. You're not allowed to surf even youtube, facebook, etc. You can open only a few websites and that too can be done with your phone network.
Faculty : They offer a lot of courses here like B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, HM, etc. The syllabi of the courses are updated. They teach you the topics like machine learning, data science and other important topics related to CSE students. Some of the teachers are really good, but some are very bad. For a moment you'll think from where and how they came to this college to teach the subject. The quality of knowledge is pretty average. They can never give you a chance to think outside the box. There is a mandatory 85% attendance required in all the subjects you're studying. Otherwise, they won't allow you to sit in the exam
Placements : In BIT, they will provide you 100% placements for Computer Science CS Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Information Science (IS) with the average package of 10 lakhs-11 lakhs per annum. But the mechanical branch is also good and they will provide you nearly 70-75% placements with the average package of 8 to 9 Lacs per annum. And remaining branches are also good but with the placements of 60%.
Infrastructure : Infrastructure is not that good when compared to other colleges like rvce, msrit etc. Infact, the building is very old one. Totally the infrastructure is average. Infrastructure is not upto your expectations like we don't have AC and well acomodated desks, benches and boards. There are 3 lifts for entire campus.
Faculty : The lectures who work in BIT has a vast experience of 30-40years. They will make out the concepts clear for students and the lectures are friendly, they create a good relationship with the students. Their teaching make us to dream higher and aim for high
Hello Suraj, PES University, the south campus is better in terms of placement in comparison to BIT Bangalore. The average salary offered is slightly higher compared to the BIT. Around 90+% of students are placed in CSE branch in PES which is quite outstanding. I would suggest you chose PES over BIT.
Greetings to you,
Both the choices mentioned above are quite excellent in the top colleges. Although BIT is better than BMSIT, the decision depends upon the branch preference. If you do not have any specific one, go for TE in Bangalore Institute of Technology. It has core placements for every branch as well as in IT sector. Also, it gives you great exposure due to its location, environment, infrastructure and facilities. Good luck.
