Narasaraopeta Engineering College, Guntur for CSE has more and better placements than in IT in Bapatla Engineering College.

Placements in the college are very good this year. About 65% of the students are placed. The highest package offered is 8 LPA, the average package is 3.36 LPA and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. Companies like Pole To Win, Snovasys, Glenwood, Indium Software, etc., visited our campus. Roles like tester and analysts are offered. Only 10% of the students got internships from college with a stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month. They have a placement cell in the college which provides training and placement details to the students.

Only consultancies play a major role in the placements of the college. Scope for product-based and service-based companies is very less. TCS, Infosys and Wipro conduct placements at the national level, so these companies are not considered much. The placement percentage of the college is 60%. Overall, the placements in the college are poor.

There is no Wi-Fi facility in college premises. The library is good and has a large number of books related to all branches. Medical facilities are good. Sports play a major role in  college. Quality of labs and classrooms is good.

It is a good College , All  teachers are Well qualified with PhD's ,M tech, M Phil's etc and are very much friendly with the students very much interactive with the student.

But when it comes to placement it is not that good. About 15-20% of the students got placed in their respective core companies, and rest of the placements are provided by BPOs and consultancies. Even the salaries with respect to the market. The highest package offered is 3.6 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 1.2 LPA.

Started in the year 1999 the department of Information Technology bloomed into a knowledge sharing department of Bapatla Engineering College. The department offers four years of Bachelors degree and is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. It has an intake of 120 students right now which used to be 40 in the year 1999 and 60 in the year 2000. The recognition by the Institute of Engineers and accridated by NBA- AICTE for three years are just the outcomes of the well planned and achieved goals.

The faculty members of the department counsel and guide the students on matters such as academic, career, social, psychological and other problems. The department has well developed labs and infrastructure. The computer facilities meet the curriculum requirement of the students and the utilization reaches nearly 100%. The faculty, non-teaching staff and students have an attitude to strive for excellence and not to compromise on quality education. It also encourages students to go for paper presentations in international conferences by paying the expenses. Gold medals are instituted by the management in collaboration with donors for students achieving academic excellence.

Hence, it's a great college, and worth trying.

Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla is an average college for IT students.

In IT branch every year only 5-6 students are placed by companies, salary packages are 3 Lacs per annum is the highest package and 1 Lacs per annum is the minimum package offered by companies, regarding to internships our college does not provide good internships.
