According to your rank you will not get NIT Patna because from previous year cutoff trends for home state quota the cutoff for 6th round is near 3.5K.

So don't loose hope  just keep searching for good colleges. Here I am mentioning the previous year cutoff of NIT

Yes, you will get NIT Calicut very easily with the rank that you have obtained under OBC category and also with the home state. As per the previous year cutoffs you have the chance to choose the subject of your own choice. You canyourself check the cutoffs using careers360 portal

If you are going for private university then there will no negative marking but most of the govt. Colleges ask for negative marking.

And of you're asking about IIT-JEE then it has negative marking but NATA doesn't have negative marking.!!
