Which is best for BDES Accessory design, Fashion design or textile design as Im not understanding which to pursue and what are Job opportunities after graduating?

Sohamsengupta8 21st Jul, 2020

Hello student,

Actual those three branches of bachelor of designing have three different prospects. Among them fashion design is one of the most sought after courses. If if you are talking about placement then you should know that placements are limited for the NIFT for accessory designing. Fashion design has the best placement and very good scope also. Now it is completely depend upon your choice and interest. Because you just have to grow up your skills and become a master.

what we have to do or what training will be given us in bdes course of fashion designing at nift delhi?

S. Saha Student Expert 25th Aug, 2020
Bachelor of Designing is all about the creativity within a candidate. Not only creativity and thoughts, but there are some particular skills which are required to become a good Fashion Designer. In B.Des Fashion Designing one has to implement those creativities and imaginative thoughts in real life. Along with this, the Institute will help you to learn those skills which are mostly asked by fashion houses. Through this course, the institute will teach you additional courses which will help you to place in top design houses. B.Des Fashion Designing generally has topics such as Apparel development, Design Studio, Pattern Making, Graphic Designing, Fashion Illustrations, Model Drawing etc. These topics will be taught to the candidates so that they can understand what actually is fashion designing and if you have these skills, you can work in top fashion houses.

how many hours can a candidate work in a part time job of data entry if the candidate is doing bdes in fashion designing by nift ?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 24th Aug, 2020

Hey Vicky

It is very difficult to answer something like this as it depends a lot of the capacity and capability of the person. From what I have heard, BDes is a time consuming course and it will leave you drained of any energy (also, there are jury days for which you will have to work harder than usual) but if you really want to do the data entry job then you will have to sacrifice some of your sleep time. You will be able to do the job for not more than two hours a day (with the nift schedule). If you really want to do it then nothing is impossible! All the best!

what is the perfect time for internship in fashion designing during the course that is bdes in fashion designing by nift delhi?

Raja 22nd Aug, 2020

BDes is a professional undergraduate course of 4 years. You must start applying for internships by the end of 2nd year. Some of the students also try after their first year but they have very less chance to get a core internship. So try to score some good internships under good colleges or firms.
Good luck!
