The following stationary items are allowed and also required for the CAT exam of NIFT for Bachelor of Design:

An eraser, sharpener, ruler, lead pencils, ball point pen, and dry colors like- oil pastels, color pencils, sketch colors, soft pastels, etc.

Also, do not forget to carry your admit card with you.

the application form of NIFT 2021 is likely to be released in the last week of october 2020 and the last date will be in last week of december 2020 , admit card is likely to be released in the second week of january 2021 and NIFT entrance test 2021 (GAT and CAT) is likely to be held in third week of january 2021

Hello aspirant,

The admission in BDes in fashion design in NIFT consists of three process or test.

1) GAT -general ability test

2)CAT - creative ability test

3) situation test.

The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of written test which comprises of CAT and GAT.

The syllabus dose not changes every year. However the number of questions may vary in each section and for each course year to year. The level of difficulty in questions for all courses may vary.

NIFT B.Des entrance exam consists of General Ability Test (GAT) which comprises of different sections and analytical ability is one of them from which 15 question are to be asked. Generally in Analytical ability questions you have to show your reasoning power and logical approach to solve different types of incomplete problems. For your reference I have described the whole Test in detail below :-

• English Comprehension - This part of the GAT will scrutinize the ability of the candidates in understanding a situation from a given passage. It all judges the basic English language of the candidates.
• Quantitative Ability - This section of GAT, questions will be asked from the topics such as division, fractions, percentages, addition, multiplication, interest rates, ratio & proportion, distance, and work. Aspiring candidates must practice basic mathematics so that they can get good marks from this part.
• Communication Ability - Test takers will be evaluated on the ability of daily communication on English language. Students must be familiar with synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutes, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, singular, plural and words with corresponding meanings.
• Analytical Ability - In this section it will test the ability of the candidates to draw inference and logic from the given information.
• General Knowledge and Current Affairs - Questions will be framed based on the general knowledge and current affairs. Students may score good marks if they are updated with general knowledge and current affairs.
