NIFT is only for fashion. It does not offer courses in subjects like Interior designing. The Major Entrance exams for it are NATA, CEED, NID, CPET, etc.
Some of the well-known institutes offering interior design programmes are given below :
1. National Institute of Design (NID)
2. CEPT University, Gujarat

Two courses are offered in Nirma University in B.Des in Communication Design and B.Des. in Industrial Design.Its a 4 year course and total fees for the courses is 12.50 lakhs.

If i pursue bachelor of design as my undergraduate degree...is the degree equivalent to any other degree like B TECH ..BE ...erc

Hey!

You'll have to see in the brochure, if it's mentioned "Btech/Be" then it'll be equivalent, but you need to check properly because many institutes /college just provide the course as a certificate not a degree.
