cutoffs are only published for IIT's and not CIT.

but for Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar if you happen to be an unreserved candidate, then anywhere above 65 marks should put you into the merit list and hence you can estimate.

Hello Monu, I can see that you did tell that your category rank is 946 but you didn't specify exactly which category. You can get Knitwear design course if you are from SC/ST category. It would be easier to predict your NIFT college if you specify your native state and the category. 

Hello Khushi, You can get fashion communication easily at NIFT Kannur(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 5358), NIFT Bhubaneshwar(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 5609), NIFT Jodhpur(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 5498)and NIFT Raebarreily(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 5735). I would suggest you wait till final round because you mightn't get the seat in the first round but eventually you will get the seat in further rounds.

You can get admission in any branch of nift with the help of your category rank. You can even get fashion designing in top branches if nift.

See every year cutoff changes. but your rank is quite good. you have fair chances in nift rae berily, nift srinagar, nift shilong, nift bhubaneswar, nift jodhpur etc,

Hello Anjali, Forgive me. There have been serious miscalculations by me. I Checked the wrong data. I checked the CMR, not the category rank. I rechecked it again and concluded that you will get fashion design in NIFT Jodhpur(2018 OBC closing rank after the final round was 3326), NIFT Kangra(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 3159). But if you choose apparel design you can get NIFT Kolkata(2018 SC closing rank after the final round was 3459). But you need to wait till the last round because you mightn't get the seat in the first round but you'll eventually get it in the next rounds.

Hello Saba, Based on your CMR and 2018 cutoff, you won't get B.Des in Fashion design, Accessory design, Leather design, textile design in any colleges if you are a general category candidate. But if you have any home state NIFT like Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, and Bhubaneshwar, then you can easily get fashion and accessory design on the basis of home state quota. As you have not specified your category and your native state it's very tough to predict your college. I suggest you give me some details like your category and native state.
