The cutoff depends upon the caste category as well as the branch you are interested to take admission in.

Assuming that you are asking for general category, for CSE you need the rank within 540
for other good branches aim scoring a rank within 1300 to get other decent branches

No, you can take admission in B.tech in agricultural engineering by JEE entrance exam only.

Through, ICAR you can get admission in B.Sc in agricultural engineering.

which college is better VJTI (Mumbai) or NITs ?

It depends on which NIT you are comparing with VJTI. If we compare top NITs then NITs are better like NIT Warangal, Surathkal, Trichy, Calicut and Allahabad and if you are comparing with lower NITs then VJTI is better college.
