so yes you can take computer science after completion of a mechanical engineer as for from computers and Engineering every college have some eligibility and mostly depends upon your interest exam and class 12th marks
As we know it is difficult to get admission in IIT's or NIT's. As you said that you have secured 27 marks, so it would be difficult to get admission. Based on the previous year's cutoff, you will get an idea about the expected cutoff for GATE for IITs
