Dear Applicant,
Autonomous colleges have the freedom to design their own course. An affliated colleege has certain restrictions in syllabus formation it has to follow the university prescribed syllabus.Whereas an autonomous college has flexibility in introducing innovative curriculum
1 benifit of Affiliate college is if your not satisfied with an institution or due to some reason you have to change you college, you could change college in mid term but this is only possible for Affiliated college.
But incase of autonomous you can't do so as the course can vary thus you might loose your year if you can't clear the course
Hello Aspirant ,
As the cutoff percentage is 50% for general and 45% for SC, ST, OBC Category. So you have passed out the cutoff marks. But to pursue B.tech from BIT Durg, either you have to give CGPET if you are having Chhattisgarh domicile, and if you are not from Chhattisgarh then you have to give the JEE Mains exams and secure good marks.
Hoe you will find it relevant.
Feel free to ask any further problems related.
Hello student,
As you have mentioned that you have scored 88 percentile in Jee mains January 2020. CSE is the most demanding branch in engineering nowadays. So its cutoff are always the highest in any college. As of 88 percentile, it doesn't seem that you can get cs branch in bit durg. You can try for some other colleges or some other branches.
Hello Aspirant!!!
To get admission in BIT, Durg, you need to any of give two exams i.e CPGET or JEE MAINS. The AIR cutoff for BIT, Durg for Civil Engineering in 2019 is
The cutoff for BIT, Durg based on CPGET for home state general-male OPEN category is
Hope you are clear. All the best!!
Thank you!!
hi,
see both of the college has quality infrastructure, experienced faculty, however placement is not good in ggu bilaspur, in bit durg cse placement is better compare to ggu bilaspur, companies like tcs, wipro, cognizant, adani, sap, fituronix, L&T Infotech visits the campus placement, average salary offered is 3.5 lpa per annum.
Hi there,
If you belong to general category and you aspiring for BIT durg chhattisgarh, then to get into into cse branch is quite unlikely to happen as your percentile is less.
Hence if you want cs at Bit durg try to score more than 95+ percentile it will surely get youbcse branch at BIt durg.
I hope this help
hello,
BIT doesn't accept jee mains for admission of students for engineering streams. College organizes it own entrance exam for admission of students. if you want to join BITS then you have to appear that test.
using JEE main, you can apply for government college in your state or private institute. your percentile is low for NIT cutoff. still you can try as NIT considers rank upto 2lakh for non technical and core branches.
Thanks
Aman, these are the previous year's opening and closing ranks of various streams for General Category at Bhilai Institute of Technology:

Now To caculate your rank with the help of your percentile, we should use the formula:
(100-your total percentile)*869010/100. Going by this formula, your rank will be . 211082. Now this is for January session. If the no.of Candidates appearing for JEE Mains April session is increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank is calculated using the formula: (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.
So the chances that you can get a seat in this college are relatively lesser. For being eligible for JEE Advanced as well, you may have to appear for April session as the expected cut off is going to be 85 and above.
